As a long time fan of Bob Ross (to this day I stream him on Netflix as a sleep aid,) Reynolds nailed it.
Grace, it's like Reynolds put the entire teaser together specifically for me! I skipped the first movie and have never planned to see the second one, but the moment I saw that thumbnail of yours, I had to click. I've been watching The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross since I was four, and Reynolds' spoof of it was dead-on! I got the Mayberry gag, too, as I've been watching that show since I was four, and I also enjoy reading Good Housekeeping once in awhile. I think Reynolds decided to target people around his age, 41, with this campaign, which I think is rather brilliant as it's older people who still like going to the movies. (I'm 35, so we both grew up in more or less the same era of television, kind of like Seth MacFarlane. This teaser reminds me of Family Guy a lot.) Younger people still laugh at this stuff, too, and he already has them excited. Don't underestimate the power of Bob Ross. I've seen quite a few younger people dress up like him for Halloween. Thanks for the video, Grace.

Yeah, I saw someone dressed up as Bob Ross at a Halloween party. That it was cool and somewhat random. I also watched him as a kid and got into paint and art a bit from him.
Your right since this an R rated flick he has to expand the audience to a an older crowd, so this is a brilliant marketing strategy.

Felipe Valles Haha I'm not grace but I am in film school now and the city you move to depends on what area u are doing for entertainment law ie sports or movies. But I know many schools in NY and LA have dual degrees where u graduate from the business school and film school so maybe u can check that out!

The 'Ted E. Ruxpinn' in the credits of the Boss Ross parody sold me beyond words.
The closing credits are hilarious. The camera operators are a Wayne's World reference, and the listing for the "Boom: Goes The Dynamite".
Deadpool did not cross the line. It is very Deadpool like.

Cable's arm usually looks like Colossus' arms in the comics, so I'm guessing that it could either be Ajax's arm (he was a cyborg in the comics) or Donald Pierce's arm to help unify the X-verse in tying Deadpool into Logan yet again.

I'm really interested in seeing the first full trailer, to see if we can get a better glimpse of Domino and Cable, that'll be cool.
