Saturday, the 4th of September, 16 skippers leave les Sables d'Olonne for more than 7 months in the sea, alone, against the elements.
An amazing Adventure : the longest sporting event in the World.
Truly a voyage for madmen! Fifteen of them. And one madwoman. Best wishes to them all.

Why are you so nasty? Were you around in 1968? I was and remember there was practically no information here in the States about this race, and coverage during the nine months was practically nonexistent! Get a clue.
