Always enjoyed fly fishing these two streams. Did good with a bead head pheasant tail nymph and a Prince nymph. I'd like to try it in the colder season some time. Wondering if you could weave some cord to close up the gaps in that goofy net?
Nice video Mike. It is getting tough out there and you are still stringing together fish, good for you and Kowalski. Keep up coming brother, and for god sake keep those dang feet in the water!
You may want to try wool finger-less gloves. They have warming properties even when wet and they can be wrung out. Real wool has protective oils. You can trim any fibers that eventually get in the way. I've used them for many years. I enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing. Ron, NE Iowa.
South Bear North Bear heavily fished during the nicer weather. We pick and choose a few places on South Bear that aren't that crowded. But I'm too old and soft to fish in this weather. It's for you young guys. Fish on.
Mike! They are such great bodies of water but I could see how they get absolutely hammered during nicer weather! Cold hands were worth it this time! Tight lines!
Love your vids man, though I miss the Missouri ones. When you were back in Missouri, where was your favorite spot for dry fly fishing in the early spring? Any good hatch spots?

I like how you always explain your fly setups! Keep it going brother.
Thank you very much!!
I just got back from fishing south bear creek! Didn’t catch too much but still had fun!
I hear they can be hit or miss depending on the day!

Thank you so much!! We are trying to make it happen!
Wow, what a nice day of fishing. Cold hands or flocks of mosquitoes and other anglers - sometimes it’s a toss up. Tight lines!
I think we lucked out! We only saw one person the entire day!! Tight lines!

I used to have a pair way back in the day! But the river gods somehow managed to swallow them up haha I may need to look into a new pair!
Great fishing
Thank you!
I had that same stupid net that I thought was a good deal on Amazon. I ordered a new one pretty quickly. Great video again.
It is so annoying!! Thank you so much!!
Looks like a fun day, but cold. Never seen a net with holes that big, pretty much anything could go through. Good thing it’s just a bag replacement.
Those nets ares seriously the worst!! New net bag is on order haha
I have that same net. Pc of crap for sure.
@@ronschiro267 haha why make the holes bigger than the fish?!

Mothers Day Caddis on the Current River is one of the best!
You guys are a lot braver (or more masochistic) than this summer fisherman.
What does the corn have to do with it,catfish in there?
That’s for the deer!
👍👍
Despite the bad weather, it's good fishing!
In such a case, fishing with a nymph seems to be good. Is the indicator used yahn?
We had a mix! One rod had a New Zealand Strike indicator (Made of wool) and the other was a foam air lock!
Im gonna say it.
crispy
Can confirm big shooter
Get sum!!!
Heck yeah!!
What stream are you on?
