Thanks this was great. I have been trying to learn how to use some of these programs I have like TK9, and Nik Silver Efex Pro 2, in the Pro 2 you approach it in a similar way with the "control points". Really your approach with lightroom offers the most flexibility. I will save my money and stop buying stuff and just learn to work what I have. Please keep them coming. I would be interested in videos when you are in the field shooting, how you approach getting a superior image for B&W conversion.
Hi John, I'm happy you like my tutorial. I have all those plugins you mentioned, and i still do use them just for minor adjustments. I will start making some videos out in the field also. Thanks for the lovely comment. 😊
I don't understand why you adjust the colors of the color version of the image before converting to B/W or why you do the B/W conversion in Photoshop when Lightroom has the same basic conversion tool that allows you to adjust individual colors behind the B/W conversion.
Hi Steven, thanks for the question about color conversion. I prefer photoshop as i find it is more accurate than lightroom and Photoshop has the gradient map, which really gives that true black and white look. I may be wrong, but it's just what i prefer. Thanks for sharing this comment.
@@stevenanthony578 I have watched a ton of content by some excellent teachers and very few go straight to Lightroom’s conversion right out of the gate.
Well richard brilliant tutorial on b/w excellent 👏 😊
Hi Graham, thanks so much 😊 I will be doing another video soon, but will be including Silver Efex software. Hope to see you . Thanks once again 😊
