Neha & Captains, you make fun of Avirbhav’s limited Hindi and English at his expense. While you are all amused and laughing, you don’t realize that you are humiliating and embarrassing him. His expression is blank, because he doesn’t understand what is going on, except that you are making fun of him. We know you appreciate his singing talent, but by laughing at him, not with him, you are disrespecting a young boy and damaging his self confidence. PLEASE be thoughtful towards a seven year old child, and stop this behaviour. At a minimum, you should ask Avirbhav’s Mother or his sister to translate for him, so he understands that all of you are not making fun of him. Your behaviour is unprofessional and unacceptable. IT IS YOUR DUTY TO PROTECT AND NURTURE THIS CHILD, NOT DAMAGE HIS SELF CONFIDENCE. Even if you cannot feel empathy for Avirbhav, and are only focused on your commercial success, please do remember that your TRP ratings are largely because of him. Think about where your program would be if Avirbhav was not in it. Has anyone taken the trouble to ask him how he feels when you are all laughing, and he knows it is about him, but he has no idea what about him is making you laugh so much. Thees judges, captains. Are not interested in judjing the performances of kids they simply shouting and crying and make fun and insult the candidates
Sadly, your comment is close to correct. I am guessing that none of the Captains and Neha Kakkar have children, but they have siblings, or nieces and nephews, and should understand that children are vulnerable and impressionable. Laughing at them, not with them, is terrible for the children’s confidence. How would they like it if people laughed at them and made fun of them.
The awful gaudy thrones they sit on are in such bad taste, and they separate them from the candidates. It would help the children SO much if they sat at their level in ordinary but comfortable chairs. It would make them more human, less concerned about their outfits and appearances, and make the children feel like a part of the same group.
They should follow the example of BGT & AGT. The judges sit at the same level as the audience in plain but comfortable chairs; and the candidates are on a higher stage. The male judges wear elegant but simple outfits, Simon Cowell almost never wears a suit jacket, and mostly wears T-shirts, and most of the female judges wear elegant but not flashy outfits (admittedly, some are flashy). The Indian judges have little fashion sense. It is very disappointing that the outfits of most of the male judges are too glitzy. Some of the female captains and Neha think that gaudy clothes and jewelry are appropriate for an event which is supposed to honor the children’s talents. And most of the time, their outfits do not look good on them, given their figures with waists that are too large to wear the short tops and lehnga type outfits that they wear.
These comments are being sent in the spirit of constructive suggestions to improve the overall quality of the program, not to criticize the producers, and the adult participants.
