We travelled from London Heathrow to Glasgow in Lanarkshire to enjoy time in the city and to spend some days on the Isle of Bute off of the west coast of Scotland.
We stayed in the main town of Rothesay and got there by car, bus, plane, train and Cal Mac (Caledonian MacBrayne) ferry via Wemyss!
We explored the island by bus and foot.

I enjoyed your video, l have been to the lsle of Bute many times & even stayed there for a Week - very enjoyable, if you ever go there again, there is a great cafe over @ Ettrick Bay - a great view over looking the sea, also a nice big beach .

Thanks John. Yes I did indeed have a stop at the cafe and yes it is a lovely place to stop and enjoy the views. I ordered myself food and drink at their takeaway window and sat on the bench in the sunshine. I didn't want to move again!
There is also a nice walk from there along the old tramway to a tiny stone circle in a farmers field.

Must be one of the nicest train stations in the UK. Love it. Does it still have the pub?

Yes it is so bright and tidy and so spacious. Yes The Station Bar. I didn't pay a visit on this occasion - but maybe next time!
