William, where was the news on this? I am only seeing this by doing some research on the current flooding in Denham Springs. How much flooding is in Baton Rouge. It seem a bit odd that Livingston is getting flooded again and no mention of the flooding in March.
A great deal of Livingston Parish is under water and much more water than the floods in March. East and South and even North Parts of East Baton Rouge Parish are flooded and continue to get worse. We've been keeping up with WBRZ and WAFB and they seem to be covering every part equally. I'm sure once the waters go down there will be plenty of mention of the flooding in March and the fact that so many people in Livingston Parish have now dealt with this twice in a six month period.
Thanks for the update. I was looking for National Coverage on this since the flooding occurred in March in such a vast area. You would have thought there would be more coverage and even now I am not seeing as much coverage on the National Stage. What was the rain fall in March? Was the Amite River diverted at some point?
Do have any information about the people at Bayview ? My niece and friend were in the attic of their apt yesterday. They posted some pictures on the roof. Trying to find out if they got out. Her mother hasn't heard from her today. Is their anyone that you could contact that would know if they are still there. They had a bateau no motor. Thank you.
I do not. I have friends around French Settlement and Port Vincent, but the ones that stayed have not been out and about much. There is a Facebook group setup with information on who to contact. The link is facebook.com/groups/2016louisianaflood/
