Blade burst is op af!👍 If you blast two off in quick succession you can do well over 10k damage to multiple enemies at once. This game has the best most versatile combat system ever IMO.
Hopefully they update it with a time trial mode for the boss fights, let us bring whatever parties we want regardless of where the boss was from. Really get to see people going for those records.

Hah! I actually played around with this and was delightfully surprised at its effectiveness. I haven't leveled enough magic-up to pair it with Aerith in a team but boy do I want to.

for mp recovery, try ou mp absorb with enemy skill. use syphon or augid.

Using barrier on hard mode is that cheep or no and how long does barrier last when first cast it

Should be Prayer instead of binding. Prayer heal amount is determined by magic attack (not my idea) so having the self healing, especially on hard, is a must.
I'm 11/18 into hard and I have to ask, whats binding materia do? Geez i need help with this game!
I use the same sword but use double magic up and double luck up, fury ring and no ATB abilities but I use enemy skill to turn cloud into wolverine. Big heals n big damage

How did you get so much SP to spend on the Mythril Saber?! I'm about 6 slots short!
Unlocking manuscripts that give 10 so each. You get them from vendors, challenges and defeating certain bosses on hard. Each character has 14 manuscripts in total or 140 SP

I would've never have guessed that the game will have such an amazing and different combat system with so many different builds that it would be keep me playing this game even long after I finished the game.
Great guide and build, as usual. The thing that would be nice for you to do is actually show the entire party setups, instead of one specific character. It's not a problem for me, but I could see how it would be useful for less experienced players who would maybe want to do this exact build in their hard mode playthroughs when you can play as Aerith, of course this build is not gonna work as well with Barret instead of Aerith.
The original had the same fun, the Materia system was highly under utilized by many players back in the day, because it's what we could find on our own, we didn't have RUclips guides as an option.
It’s really fun right? I saw some people getting angry with it because you have to switch materia around sometimes based on bosses. But I actually enjoyed doing that. The only combat negatives are the camera, aerial combat, and wind and ice materia not being I stand hits like fire and lightning.
@@dannyv2230 Immediately zoom the camera out in options, you have to. I didn't mind Ice materia working that way, but since wind is primarily for flying enemies, that was annoying.
FreedTMG yeah I figured that out and I put the camera to free in the fighting settings. The ice isn’t bad as long as it’s with enemies that don’t move around much. But the wind materia is just dreadful
@@dannyv2230 you can do most of the game without wind anyway, the House is about all you'd need it for. Otherwise, fire, lightning and Ice does all you'd ever need. Poison also helps with the house, that constant ticking is a big help against that annoying bastard.
I’ve beat everything in this game except the pride and glory fight and that’s probably only because I haven’t attempted it. And watching these videos makes me realize how much better I could be but do these builds make the game too easy?
Not really. It doesn't matter what builds you're using, you can still get absolutely destroyed. These builds are good, but they are demonstrated against pretty easy opponents, so don't take everything literally.
@@giedriusurbonas9740 what your first said is true no matter what build you do it's still not gonna change your skill level. But when you say that he is demonstrating these builds on easy makes me question weather you actually watched his video because he clearly states and also you are watching the whole time. Secrecy and end game bosses are only playable on hard mode.

TheInstantgib I mean I beat the game on hard mode and didn’t struggle too much at all but these build look so great and I never did any of this that’s why I though these would make the game easy
So, question/hypothesis: does a four slot weapon materia combo with Elemental+Fire, MP Absorb+Fire allow you to steal MP with regular attacks? Assuming it rounds up. Because if that is the case...
I just ran some tests, and it doesn't appear to generate any MP with that setup. At least not in any significant way than the passive regen. Also using the same setup but with the HP absorb doesn't produce any results.
KhrazeGaming ah, thanks for testing it. I thought I heard somewhere that the HP Absorb worked, but maybe I am confusing it with Magnify. Magnify+Fire, MP Absorb+Fire works though, right? That paired with Arcane Ward seems like a good way to stock up on MP.
KhrazeGaming say, regarding Elemental materia. Is it viable to have two equipped on a single weapon? Stackable or override?

Just a smaller question here about max HP.. 9999HP is the absolute maximum i guess? But in my game only Barret is actually able to hit this HP pool and Cloud only is able to reach like 9640, but can't get more. Is there anything behind it i should know to reach with all active characters 9999HP? 🤔
Different weapons give different bonuses. You can achieve 9999 on Cloud by using a different sword or champion belt accessory.
only cloud and barret can reach 9999 hp with 2 max hp up materials, cloud also needs to equip his maxed lv buster sword for extra hp to reach 9999

Run hp absorb and enemy skill on Cloud instead of Barret. Makes him a magic tank and it's hilarious.
awesomeuno1 yep I found that shit scaled with magic, I try self destruct with magic boost on and my ward+subversion couldn’t even save me lol
That's what I've been doing, Aerith doesn't get close enough to abuse it like Cloud can, even if your build isn't super magic focused, it's still best for him. Since the other option is Tifa, and her magic isn't good. Sure you could do it for melee Barret, but who is using that for serious battles?

@@daggumnametaken enemy skill. Not too sure about self destruct, but algid aura and spirit siphon def r affected by elemental materia in ya weapon. No affect on bad breath cuz there is no damage dealt

If Cloud is even 50/50, your not using him right. Wanna beat hard mode easily? Stop relying on magic
What I like ab this game is that you can do whatever you want, and you can beat the game on hard mode as long as your build is solid. I’m in chp 17 hard mode and have exclusively used mythril sword.
@diegom6085 I've beat hard mode a few times without changing my build through the entire game on every character.
