And then they’ll reflect all the time on how they used to do this or that, and how much he/she tried to get clean, yada, yada, yada.
I love that feeling when the front diff hits the face of the ditch and the vehicle comes to a sudden stop, but everything inside the vehicle keeps coming and tries to impale you. Good times! I crossed many plowed/furrowed fields in an '86 Suburban back in my land surveyor days and that first "thump" when the front tires wouldn't climb back out of the ditch would always result in spilled coffee in the passengers' laps. I got sick with bronchitis and was off work for a week and in bed with my laptop and got addicted to your channel. I have been in the middle of rebuilding a 15 year old Colorado crew cab 4x4 that had a tree branch go through the windshield and rip the roof up pretty bad. I use to be a bodyman and painter and thought why not? One more rebuild of a totaled out vehicle and I've been wanting a 4 door 4x4 truck for a while for the snow and ice in the winter. Now you have me wanting to put a solid axle in the front and install lockers and raise the height a bit.
Sober enough to get help out. That’s all that counts. Wishing everyone well in the new year. Some people function on a different level. Matt helps everyone and that means a lot!
This is where a drone comes in extremely handy. I have used it to find ways around water or get back to tracks out in the brush. I think I use mine near half the time for scouting- trail finding, camp finding, checking if roads aren't washed/flooded, view finding.
When Matt drove into the trench in the intro - I felt that. The first thing I did with my very first 4x4 was find a construction site where I promptly put my front left tire into a drain hole. Dropped my F250 down on the front bumper and axle tube 🏅
