    - For compositions less than eutectoid, the metal is heated above
    A3 line to form austenite
    - For compositions larger than eutectoid, the metal is heated
above A1 line to form austenite and Fe3C
can anyone explain me i didnt understand ?

Hello I have one question please reply
Why we heat the hypereutectoid on lower temperature bcz it's has more carbon percentage so it's hard then hypo
    Please reply

As per Trigger point phenomenon of hardeability

If slowly cooled from above Acm temp proeutectoid cementite separate along the grain boundaries of austenite and completely envelopes the austenite grain which transform to pearlite at A1 temp.
      2. So the microstructure of Steel at room temp show the continuous network of cementite area all around the perlite region.
      3. Due to this the dislocation get blocked at cementite regions and are not able to to move from one pearlite region to another..this Increases the brittleness of Steel, departing from the aim of annealing...
      Thanks

if you do furnace cooling how the microstructure gets refined??? in f/c cooling we get coarse grains right??

Why hypoeutectoid is heated above uct

    • @AmanGupta-so5zy

kyuki upper critical temperature pr steel pura change hota h aur carbon % ki Matra pr yah depend karta h
