LOVELY job I forgot the gloves and its all over my hands after acetone and all kinds of scrubbing. I don't know what I was thinking. I found doing the space between the wall and my floor gap VERY messy, it was hard to aim correctly and not get it all over. Sure it's me, I didn't expect it to come bulging out and started to smooth it flat. You did great. I will go back and touch up with your advice forefront!!! Thanx so much!
Thank you! We needed some info and I am someone who likes to be shown. Usually the print on products is very small. My husband and I are in our 70’s . Again thank you!
Really helpful video! I appreciate it. The edit was nice, background music wasn’t too distracting, and you explained it all very well. Your channel deserves more views.
This is a very informative video. .. especially when needing to keep out demonic pests that can get through small cracks. Thanks and blessings to your family..in Jesus mighty name amen
Also, a lot of folks throw out the unused portion- but acetone (nail polish remover) will clear out the applicator and make it useful for multiple uses.
@@barbeejoll7139yeah I'm definitely people I got so tired of wasting it that I went and bought the pro series and then the applicator gun along with the nozzle cleaning chemical because I have so many small projects but I never get all of them done on days off so I would waste so much of that crap between the nozzle bending I didn't know and the acetone I didn't think about I've definitely spent a lot of money on this stuff lol😂
It would be great if the instructions were printed in a normal sized reading font as many users probably can’t see/read the direction printed on the can.
@@User_40172a I decided to use multi purpose white duck tape to seal all the cracks, and that seems to be working well. I haven’t seen any ants since. I also sprayed bug md the night before.
thanks for video.. I plan to use pestblocker one to fill in the gap between garage hole in the corner. It may not be good idea against rotten but it may be good against insect.. any experience ?
Hehehe, Truly, this is a most beautiful Great Stuff presentation:) Thank you;0) A bit gun-shy, I recall my shock as I watched the framing of the garage expand where it shouldn't have been able to, hehehe. I appreciated so much, the gentle bead you layed, and your ProTips surprised. Niiice. The nozzle on this can is more like a big pen/ not flexible at all.. But oh, the relief, when in another vid you mentioned that the product would be alright after opening, 30 days. I heard you say that, and an actual weight flew off my back. Yup;0) xo
Can you use a spray dispensing gun on the black one. Specifcallyl that can and that brand? I heard you cant cuz it didnt have to top to twist on the gun.
I had someone install a front door and he used some type of spray foam similar to yours but a different brand. I can hear wind noises from outside and it looks like theres the odd area that does not look filled in. Can I buy a can of window and door foam and fill the odd gap that I see or will it warp the jamb?. Thanks
How long shoukd I wait to caulk over it after application? I am toying between using this or a foam rod for a big gap between my bathtub and the surround.
I was going to use one of these products to fill a gap on the bottom of the wall behind the baseboard and on the instructions said not to use in closed cavities or voids, so what does it mean that?
It’s very possible, all you need to do is push the nozzle down sideways and it should still spray out. Be careful it will get messy without the nozzle wear gloves
I believe u can get the straws at wall mart my prob is how to u get it to come out when u use once it forms a hard crust where you put straw in how can we get this not to happen
Spray foam: According to GREAT STUFF, you should shake the can vigorously for at least 60 seconds, and then hold it upside down if it sputters. For best results, use the product when the temperature is between 60-90°F (15-32°C)
I had my shower repaired and the wall was lathe board and plaster it was replaced with moisture resistant drywall. There is a gap between the window trim and the drywall max 3/4 inch, is there a specific spray foam I need to use?
Manufacturer claims it's closed cell, but the pro specs are available and show the crack and gap filler is 80% closed cell, while the window/door is mostly open cell. No data available on big gap filler...
Hi , what can I use to fill gaps around my furnace unit ? Worried about it getting too warm and catching fire but I need to fill them because I have tons of earwigs coming through. PLEASE HELP
Asbestos works well I hear... Expanding foam, once cured and not used near flame should be just fine. They Also make one specifically fire resistant called pyro something.

Hahahaha - around the windows ? I hope you’re not at a customers house ! When that foam expands, t it will pinch the casing and you’ll be using a pry bar to get that window open. DO NOT spray foam windows. Pull off some insulation of a bat and tuck it in with a shingle.
I recently used the 3" type on a shipping container conversion, in a wall between the exterior metal skin and spaced horizontal 1x6 making the interior portion. 4" between the horizontal 1x6's..and 1.25 " to fill. The foam pushed the 1x6 off, even with 4" between the 1x6. It will displace fastened materials by expansion...
Batt insulation is best if you can use it for door and window installation. But it has to be packed lightly , not compacted. General contractor here, and installed about 2000 exterior doors myself...

This video is WRONG. Do not use any great stuff around Windows or doors except for the BLUE can THATS SPECIFICALLY FOR WINDOWS AND DOORS. Because the others will expand with pressure and deform your windows!! Also he used the can UPSIDE DOWN.

These products are good for filling small gaps in flooring area underneath trailer homes to keep critters from entering the house
Is there an odor at all? So glad I found this product. My apartment has major gaps my landlord just ignores

I absolutely love this stuff it's fun too use and it works great for installation instead of the itchy stuff.
Great video and he explains things easily.
Dang, I never knew about bending the straw over onto the stopper! I've probably wasted a few cans by not knowing that!
I like to make fake stones of the leftover foam just cover it with concrete mix after it dries . Light weight fake rock for garden.

As long as you give it room to expand outward you should be good...if you fill it then cover it with no escape it can damage your jam
Can you paint over it once it’s dried?
Yes but I would try to use a joint compound to make it smoother surface after you level it and scrape it flush with your wall.
Is thia good to use if you have mice ?
Do mice eat through it?
Do you trim the excess before or after 8 hours?
Try to hold your spray can upside-down , my amigo.

Yes sir, it acts as an insulator.

What do you recommend if the gap is very thin, few millimeters
I would use caulk, the stretch caulk is what I use, here is the link : amzn.to/3cQj1Eo

Is that open or close cell foam?

I would not want to be breathing it in any more than necessary. I'm sure like most things it after gasses for a long time especially on hot days.

It should be ready to go after you tighten the provided nozzle. Just pull the nozzle trigger. You might have gotten a defective can. 🙏🏽
