Been playing regularly for 35 years. I had a good smash into about my mid 50s. It is very difficult for me to get consistent power and speed in my smash now at 66. I am trying to think why. I have no pain, just the speed I can ramp up a smash seems to be elusive. The speed I can get ready for a smash is also really diminished. Not giving up though. Still LOVE badminton.
During hitting the smash.., My racket swing moment goes down slow,i feel like my Racket is stuck ., And my shuttle misses a lot when I try to smash., So do make a video on timing and accuracy sir your video will really help me to improve and for better gameplay....!!
Coaches' shoes are usually open to relax. Since they usually only do shuttle feeding and don't have much movement, it's quite okay. They tighten it when they are about to play an actual match. So all in all, the loose sholaces are just fine as long as you're not playing an actual game.
Watch his full swings when he hits the shuttle, to see where his elbow is, that, like with almost all coaches, is far more accurate for a demonstration than when they try to do each bit separately. So e.g. what he says at 1:45-1:53 with the description about "beside the head" is different to and not as good as what he does when he actually hits it. One coach online had a video years ago where they would even talk of their elbow brushing their ear, (and a lot of coaches do demonstrations a bit like that when breaking it down), but watch them hit it and you see the elbow is further out and not as far forward as they think or claim it is.. Watch them actually hitting it, he has examples of him hitting it..
mr pakuntay, look up the difference between wrist movement and forearm movement, look up the difference between the wrist and the forearm, and look up the difference between a ball(which is what they use in tennis), and a shuttlecock(which is what is used in badminton). And look up pronation which the coach mentioned.
@@ericchen9245 If your swing motion was like the hands of a clock, and 12:00 was above your head ... you want to hit your smashes at 1:00 and your clears at 11:00. That's an oversimplified analogy, but it could help.

Nice, now I don't need to ask my pro friend on how to do a smash 😂
i dont get you. can you show the wrist movement slowly. how is that v shape turn to be what when smashing ball.
Pronation

I have been playing badminton for years, even with great strength I still struggle to smash
One issue I have is that i always hit a clear when i try to smash, how do i fix that
have the same issue lolol and would like to know too!
Contact point, shuttle must be in front of you
so i need to hit it from in front of me and not above me?

same here! Need to contact infront and/or get behind the bird more
So clearly, thanks ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What if I’m the height of the net?
I jst want to learn more
every time I remember to apply the inputs... shuttle never crosses my court..... God knows what am I missing?
Hi
More importantly we need a tutorial on How to levitate your Rack
good tut and all but why dos aylex look so deppressed???
Sykkuno who
You need a expensive recket to get a better smash because if you just use the cheap one it won’t work
Ur grip tutorial wasn’t clear for me,were u holding side or front
Front
Too easy if you play volleyball it’s natural. All the power is on the legs and wrist easy. Go work out on wrist and leg.
tighten up ur shoe laces pls
How are you my lodi?😊
