OK, I am a relatively new PB player(4 months) but have really worked hard on this serve. I tend to “drop” the ball with a small amount of upward movement so that the ball is basically where my hand was when I contact the ball. So the ball comes up a couple inches and then down a couple inches, then contact. Today I was called out for an illegal serve, but I have studied the rules, watched the pros, and told him he was wrong. For a volley serve you can literally toss the ball up as high as you want as long as you conform to the 3 rules of your swing. Right?
