This story is common, but if you understand it deeply, the lesson it gives is very important. First of all, if any person wants to be successful, he must first give up his fear. In some cases, a person has to leave his home for his work and go to a new place to live a difficult life, but in such a situation, he has a fear of leaving his family, relatives, friends and relatives. Yes, his dreams are big, but he could do something new and different by staying within the comfort environment. Like the story of the turtle in this story, who was wearing the shell for his own protection, which is why he dreamed of becoming a dragon for five hundred years, but was unable to become one, because he was afraid that something would happen to him, he could not give up the shell he was wearing, so sometimes we are with us. This story has given an important lesson that we are not able to move forward in life due to the fear of various things that have happened.
Second, if a person wants to be successful, he must first give up his pride, like the magician in this story was proud that he could do anything because he was powerful and could not go to heaven even after waiting for a thousand years. But if pride dwells in him, he will never get the success he deserves.
Thirdly, this story conveys the message that nothing can be achieved before time, no matter how hard a person tries, but success comes only when his time comes, as told in this story, the girl who was unable to speak but when her time came, she fell in front of the young man and that's when she spoke. Yes, it can be understood in another way that the work should be done continuously, success is sure to come but you have to be patient, again it is said that nothing is done before the time and there is no point in doing anything after the time, so you can recognize the time and continue in your work. You have to keep trying and success will surely come.
Fourth, and what is the important lesson from this story, if you want the good of others, you must also be good for yourself. He couldn't ask the Buddha about it, if he wanted to, he could have kept a question and asked his own thing, but the words of others seemed important to him, and he felt that they were in other problems than him, so he asked their questions to the Buddha, because of which the problems of everyone he met during the journey were solved, and even though he didn't want to, he also himself. Many things are achieved through them. It is also said that if we do good to someone, it will be returned to us in the same way or even more than the way we have done good. In this story too, the young man got more things than he expected or did not expect, but only for doing good to others.
