I just love your wit and sense of humor! You’re a natural comedian. I enjoy all of your videos! I didn’t think balls in the dishwasher would turn out so great. Maybe on a cycle without heat they wouldn’t be so yellow? But it’s still using hot water, so..oh well. 🤷🏻♀️
You can build your own ball polisher for $40 with a Home Depot bucket, some carpet scraps and a $29 orbital polisher. I wouldn't put my Aramith Tournament Blacks ($600) in the dishwasher! Really like your videos anyway...keep up the good work.
A couple years ago I tried washing the pool balls in the kitchen sink using Dawn dish washing liquid, it wasn't the one used to clean oil spills off of baby ducks, this was their "new and improved" version. After washing/drying the the balls, they had a white haze on them that would not come off, had to use Arimith Ball Restorer, then the regular Arimith ball cleaner to removed the haze. Finally started using TAOM V10 chalk, it's incredibly clean, so I won't be needed to clean the balls nearly as often. Thanks for producing content, you're a good teacher, see you next time 😊
fun video, nice addition. always fun to just have fun. cant wait for the comedy show, all jokes about pool. i just keep a rough piece of paper on my wall and when i get suggestions or have an idea, i write it on it. thanks Jasmin for a little laughter this morning.
OK Jasmine, since nobody else is willing to take the pun further, I will. Could you please do a video on how to properly clean and stroke your shaft? After all, what good are clean balls if you have a dirty stick, a bad grip, and a poor stroke. Another video on proper pocket care would also be a plus. Anyway, all joking aside, I am very grateful for everything I have learned from watching your videos. Thank you for sharing all things you have learned from your hard work and dedicated practice. I consider it a privilege to be able to learn from a highly skilled professional player such as yourself.
Jasmin. Thanks so much for finally providing a definitive answer on whether I should wash my balls in the Dishwasher....I was undecided, but after your informative video...I will continue with good old fashioned soap and water...followed by a good buffing....cheers.
The ball set take at 0:38 makes it all worth it 😂. I wish I could subscribe to your channel more than once. Thank you for your efforts 👌 your a great instructor
Sorry you got hung up on some "double entendres". Glad you laughed your way through it. 😂 Lots of "inuendos" in pool.😁 Ball Stick Shaft Butt Tip And combinations of them. "Can I try my shaft on your butt?" "You just got new Aramiths? Can I play with your new balls?" I had to start saying poolballs to keep myself from laughing (like you were).
Great timing. I just cleaned my balls today. I just use warm soapy water and a dry towel. If I could get my balls in a dishwasher, that could be something. On a side note, I polish the cue ball extra and put on a quality carnuba wax.
Heres a tip: if you do wash a ball set by hand with water, use distilled water. Regular tap water can contain minerals that will lead to white spots, or even a hazy film.
Unavoidable. Can get off by washing in sick with green scrubby, or putting in ball polisher. (If washing in sink, you will need to wax and hand buff with soft towel afterwards.)
i've found that powdering them after washing them helps maintain their shine and protects from moisture damage if they're spending more down time than normal.
Hi champ.. i hope you can read and reply quick for this answer.. which part of arms you use when back-swinging and forwarding the cue? Is it forearm or upperarm? Hope you read this🙏🏻
I tested this on an old set. Don’t use the heat cycle. Cold water only if you really want to use this method. The heat caused the black numbers to be raised slightly above the rest of the ball. It was discernible by feel.
Would have been interesting to also see how they look after getting them through that polishing machine also, after you’ve tried washing them. Curious if at least some of those black marks would come off 🤔
Jasmin Ouschan: a perfectly sculptured bundle of pure class, personality and mad pool skills. One in eight billion. Me: average Joe with clean balls. Dime for half a dozen, (dirty balls, a whole dozen). Thanks for this video, I'll make me a better ball custodian.
This reminded me I went to a tournament in Mexico once, and the owner decided to wax the balls right before the tournament started. And let me tell you fresh waxed balls play crazy. So everyone started their matches and they were playing with these freshly waxed balls. It was quite the sight… draw shots were spinning in place. It was mayhem.
Thanks for all the great advice. I have a question. What do you and your brother do with all your old pool ball sets. It would be pretty cool if you guys signed a couple of them and had a give away or sold them to your subscribers. This “hacker” would be interested.
Not to mention using a dishwasher packet is a static dose of detergent, If anything you could use normal pour liquid or powder and dose it yourself (if you spill it becomes pre-wash suds). But overall the heat still can ruin the ball coating. I’d say if a pool pro hasn’t thought of doing it, then we shouldn’t do it 😅
I'm already pretty good at cleaning the balls. But I've never tried to put them in a dishwasher. I just use a cloth and rub them for a while until I'm satisfied with their cleanliness.
I juste water and soap or alcohol wipes or 70% rubbing alcohol with a cloth and it does the job for me. I would've bought the machine but it's 600 dollars. And I never bought that aramith ball cleaner for like 30 bucks. For me the way I do it is berg effective for me
Just bought the Diamond ball polisher, and my wife even agrees. My balls haven't been this clean since before we got married. It pays to get a good cleaning every now and then.
I was given a table and all the accessories a couple years ago. The people just quit playing and the balls went yellow from age. I used a wax and grease remover along with 800 grit sand paper to clean all the yellow off. Then took a buffing compound and brought them back to a shine. Took a few hours but made a huge difference going from yellow back to white. Of course if you choose to do this wear rubber gloves while cleaning with the wax and grease remover.
Hand sanding, even with fine grit paper (2000-3000 etc. ) removes material from the pool balls. 800 is not really considered super fine grit. It is impossible to evenly take off the exact same amount of material on a round object by hand. Although they may look good, you have now made them smaller in diameter and have unshaped them from being perfectly round. I'm not saying that they don't look better, or that they are not "good enough" for home use...but they are irreparably damaged.
I have found that using the same leather conditioner that I use for my leather pockets on the the table to clean and shine the pool balls. It works well. Gets the scuffs off and shines. I seem to get more grip too on the shots after a cleaning. Hope that helps.
I love when you talk about balls. Not enough people emphasis the importance of cleaning them regularly. I always really inspect those black spots on the balls and it’s always better when they are cleaned with your hands.
If you have an economy cycle and air dry them and use a milder soap I think it could work but most people are not cleaning more than one personal set of balls. Unless they are super dirty why would you?
but, rather than knowing if they can be washed in the dishwasher, you should know which detergent to use because if they then discolor they could all become cue balls, and playing would become difficult then let me know what you think I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE UR FACE💔💔💔💔💔💔
Great sense of humor
Thank you for the advice, I'll never have dirty balls again!
You are so fun to watch. Always entertaining, funny, and informative.

Jasmin, great to see you taking care of the balls like a pro. They need proper care and attention after being deep screwed.

I need to build a ball polisher. Do you know where I could find a set of plans for one?
What’s the difference between the 2 sets of aramith black on Amazon? 439 $ vs $640 ???? Anyone can explain?
I have a friend who did that and it works pretty good
It's a lot more than $20 to build one that's worth building. Probably closer to $100-$150 these days.
@@donkeydiehard879 nope, my friend did it for 40

What do you actually use to clean the. Polish ? (Products) I’ve heard many different things reading car wax vs arimith ball cleaner/polish

Aramith ball cleaner works rly good even with microfiber cloth) Blue bottle for stripes and solids, green for the cue ball) 🎱✨

You are gorgeous
I don't have a Diamond table so I don't get black rubber scuff marks on mine.
A tennis ball removes rubber shoe scuff marks on floors quite easily.
Part of it is the dishwashing detergent. Research a detergent that is heathier for you and your balls😂❤️❤️
I could use that set of old balls if you are not using it tho… wouldn’t mind them… 😊
Next week's episode: "Throwing pool balls in the clothes washer."

Just cleaned and polished my balls by hand with the aramith cleaner and restore. Luckily I just have one set lol

That's obvious to not put your balls in dishwasher guys but also remember to always keep them clean. You never know when you gonna play with them. 🥹
