Honestly Suoxin and Jiang Yubin were the only winners in this story-got her love and got to leave and have her family. Obviously she had her struggles and I'm sure her heart was broken when Ruyi died but at least she got to escape the madness.

i've noticed that ruyi wears that white detachable collar much tighter than all other women. it's closed around her throat like a choker. i wonder if i read it right, as a visual allegory of how trapped she feels in the palace.
She also doesn't wear the dresses with the large cuffs...all her cuffs seem to be tighter around arms as compared to the dresses with the wavy sleeves...example 3:14
@@AsianDudeOnline I noticed that as well, her attire also seems to be more modest and less gaudy than the other consorts, Jia Guifei is the most dramatic in style and behavior. Ruyi is simple but still looks beautiful, I wonder if they did that on purpose to represent her gentle personality?

I always wonder how the Princess would have reacted if she knew her mother had deliberately sterilized the two other original wives? Would it have knocked her mother off the pedestal she placed the Empress on?
Maybe but for the sake of her father she wouldn't expose it but she would maybe have gotten on good terms with ruyi, also if she had found out that her mother had killed her siblings she might have started it hate her, but who knows
