Libya faces harsh Ramadan with rising food prices

- Ramadan is a spiritual time for Muslims around the world, but in Libya this year, it has been a difficult period for many.
Although Libya has Africa’s largest crude reserves, a decade of conflict has devastated its economy and food prices are rising across the globe.
As prices rise, some Libyan families are struggling to break their daylight fast.
Al Jazeera's Malik Traina reports from Tripoli.

Gaddafi barely did anything for Libya. He had an oil rich country and starved it by giving it the bare minimum. He could have turned every Libyan into a millionaire but he preferred to get involved in political conflicts and do barely anything to develop the country

Why am I responsible? I was 6 years old at the time, and I wasn't even living in libya.

During that period the country saw stability, security and prosperity. Now that you Libyans killed him there is instability ,insecurity and poverty. Dont complain. You guys asked for it. Be careful of what you wish for

I heard Libyan didn't like cheaper food, cheaper electricity, free education, free health services, stipend from government so they overthrew the Gaddafi's government and implemented western backed government..
