I've had the pleasure to meet the Queen three times; once being a 30 minute private audience in the 1990's at Buckingham Palace. One of the highlights of my military career.

We could see every shiny buckle and bridle and clearly hear every note of music! Decades ago, I witnessed this ceremony live in London, as a child with my father . Today I got to share the spectacle with my 96-year-old English Mum, here in Victoria, BC. Thank you!

Some former empire declined to join, but since the Commonwealth was formed, many other nations decided to join. The Queen is the Head, but she does not govern. The members elect their president and they decide which countries may join and have the veto of those who for various reasons may be removed or refused for some reason such as their current style of government does not fit with the ethos of the Commonwealth of Nations.

Can/Aus are ran by white people who stole the land from the natives. Black/brown were colonized/slaves. The Queen as head of state maybe symbolic however the 1% and the British government exploit this relationship for their benefit. I don't buy into colonial propaganda nor do I care been tethered to white countries to feel special.

I’m a 5 th generation Australian and have loved the Royal family since I was a child! When I was 20 my sister & I slept in the street outside Buckingham Palace to watch Princess Margaret pass on her way to get married! I miss London terribly as I’m now living in Los Angeles…..
Everytime I watch these Royal Parades, I get chicken skin as being part of the Commonwealth growing up - we've never missed them on TV from black/white to color, it's been the highlight of our growing up & now that I'm a senior2, it's still chicken skin to watch it -good that I can always go on RUclips to rewatch it again..never got tired of it as its so fascinating watching all that splendour -which is what Her Royal Highness The Queen of England is for me. I sincerely hope to watch her celebrate her Birthday Parade for as long as she can.

Many member countries were not previous empire members. It has since welcomed other countries not former empire. HMTQ is titular head but not leader. The president is elected by members the Queen supports, hosts and welcomes. They hold their own meetings where she is not present. Make their own decisions collectively she is a titular head, just like with UK Gvt.

Every year I watch this wonderful show. The British people should be proud of their Queen, Queen Elizabeth is the symbol of their Nation. Modern Monarchy is something really incredible, something that we do not have in the Republics like in Brazil. From a Brazilian admirer and monarchist.

Absolutely great! Everyone is perfect! They look wonderful. Love to see the horses happily responding to the music, prancing & nodding their heads to the music so proudly. I admire the time & detailed work put in for uniforms & the marching & the music. No one does it better than the British making a standard for all to try to achieve. My family in America comes from England,Scotland,Ireland & Wales & am so proud to feel part of this all! God bless the Queen!

No other parades require the planning when it comes to everything going as planned even the feet on the horses are polished, the guards, the uniforms everything to show the respect the people have for the "Queen"!
