  • The Cabaret presents Beth Leavel’s 2021 performance at The Cabaret, part of The Glick Philanthropies Broadway at The Cabaret Series.
One of Broadway’s biggest and beltiest divas shares an evening of songs and stories from her thirteen-show showbiz journey. From her Tony-nominated star turn in The Prom, to her Tony-winning, scene-stealing performance as the title character in The Drowsy Chaperone, to her spandex and spangles clad lead in Mamma Mia! Beth has also starred on Broadway in Baby It’s You, Elf, Young Frankenstein, The Civil War, Show Boat, 42nd Street and more. Don’t miss this Broadway powerhouse in an evening of her favorite roles, the ones that got away, and the ones she’s still chasing after.
Ms. Leavel was nominated for a 2019 Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critic’s Circle award for her performance in the critically acclaimed Broadway show The Prom. She has also received Tony nominations for The Drowsy Chaperone (The Drowsy Chaperone), and Baby, It’s You (Florence Geenburg), winning the Tony Award for The Drowsy Chaperone. Other Broadway roles include June Adams in Bandstand, Emily in Elf, Donna in Mamma Mia!, Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein, Dorothy Brock in the revival of 42nd Street, Tess in the original company of Crazy For You, Mrs. Bixby in The Civil War, Ellie in Hal Prince’s Showboat, and Anytime Annie (her Broadway debut) in 42nd Street. Ms. Leavel was also seen in New York City Center Encores! production of No, No, Nanette as Lucille.
