Guy at work the other day was wearing an Illiterate Light shirt. I asked about it and he said they were local to where he grew up and had seen them a couple times in concert. Now that they were getting a name he wanted to rep the band. Worked, cause now I can’t get this song out of my head and will definitely be sharing it.

I think they opened for Shakey Graves. Their set and energy was actually terrify it was so damn good. They outperformed shakey bad. I didnt even stay to see the rest of his set, was content with the show these guys put on.

The part that sticks out to me about this piece is that with his delivery of the chorus, I’m not sure I believe him. I’m not sure he believes himself. If you feel better, then why does this chorus sound so down? That’s the part that keeps me coming back, the sort of “no I’m okay, I promise”
