Heard that most of Union Pacific lines in California are mostly run by bnsf trackage rights trains in areas why up does tons on maintince on lines across California
BNSF has trackage rights on the former Western Pacific from Ogden, Utah to Stockton, California as a condition of the mergers. UP sold BNSF Western Pacific's Inside Gateway, featured in the video, from Keddie, CA to Klamath Falls, Oregon, where Western Pacific and Northern Pacific/Great Northern shared a terminal at the southern end of the Oregon Trunk Line. The only other places in California where UP and BNSF share trackage rights are over Tehachapi Pass (UP) and from Barstow (Yermo) to Riverside, CA, over Cajon Pass (BNSF). They also share joint ownership of the Alameda Corridor in Los Angeles. They otherwise stick to their own former SP and Santa Fe routes through the state.
Awesome video. What beautiful scenery the Feather River Canyon has.
That's just marvelous. This sort of territory is where drones have changed the game in railfan videography and photography.
Beautiful Drone Video.
Bnsf is king in feather River canyon most of time
