DIY: Door hinge replacement 2001 Nissan Xterra

  • This door has been sagging for some time now. The previous owners have just ignored it and kept slamming it and damged the door latch pocket. I have recently repaired the door latch, so I thought it would be good idea to repair the root cause of the problem. If you have any questions feel free to comment. I do my best to respond.

    Awesome how you used the tools on hand to remove/replace the door hinge!

    Don't be worried son. This is a 1000 Dollar beater. Lol Truth we love our clunkers though. I hope she shutting smooth

      It is. I’m currently working on getting a better seat cushion on the drivers seat. Upholstery hack inbound LOL.

    Door pins can be a pain sometimes

      And these pins and bushings aren’t replaceable. You just have to replace the entire hinge. If push came to shove, you could probably take them apart and replace the pin and bushing, but as far as I know they don’t sell any for this specific application. You’d have to make something work.
