A map for the journey. Homily for the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B

Mark’s gospel is about a journey; a journey from the Galilee region in the north to Jerusalem in the south. But it is also about an inner journey - the journey of discipleship, the journey from the Ego-drama to the Theo-drama. Like all journeys there are obstacles and stumbling blocks. Mark’s gospel offers us a map for the journey and identifies some of the key obstacles that any disciple encounters.
