i dont know much about what's the best really you want in a gacha game when it comes with characters. if she hits like a truck, that's powercreep but if she doesnt it automatically sucks.
I hope they'll make an option to go for standard weapons instead of characters starting next year, because I'd legitimately get more value out of a Skyward Blade or Lost Prayer than her.

She is definitely designed for theater instead of abyss in mind. Theater supercharge your swirl, and gives a ton of em, and she's not that picky regarding of teammate as long they can apply off field. Also she can sustain as well too. Also being relatively cheap to build is a bonus.
This is what I feel so many people misunderstand. The meta of genshin had always been abyss but even now that we have theatre people still go with these mindsets and judge characters as being bad because they lack the scaling to compete in abyss floors.
The damage from those swirls is still going to be absolutely godawful, so-called «true damage» is probably going to easily outdamage them. Realistically, you’re not getting shit from her besides the VV buff and some questionable healing, which just makes her slightly better than your average anemo four star VV bot that you leave on level 70/80.
They're actually releasing 3 characters in a row with some sort of EM scaling in their kit my cope is that they are making a new EM set and buff all of them 🙏
Being unable to do normal/charged attacks crippled her real hard. And shes coming on a dry ass 5.4 patch where we are not getting a new map for 2 consecutive patches (in an open world exploration game, this is insane). This game is cooked bro

Sigewinne Furina core is going to carry her trust. You can ignore her 70% HP threshold with a 2nd healer on the team. Last slot is be Electro, although I'm more curious about her performance in Vape & Burning teams.
A lot of characters seem pointless on release, then new characters come out and suddenly they have a purpose. I'm going to be hopeful that a few patches after her release she gets a good teammate. At least she does look fun to play, I can look past the low damage if I'm having that much fun using the character.
@luminous3558 I wouldn't say many, and it's mostly old 4 stars. All the Inazuma characters have received second winds after Sumeru. And a lot of Sumeru characters got new teams in Fontaine. Skip her, you'll lose 50/50 to her eventually and she'll have decent teams by then.
im just glad they created a random nobody character to become the newest standard character they inject into the standard banner to fulfil the promise they will add more standard characters to increase the roster of characters for the free anniversary selector, better her than a character built up in the story that people grow to really like like what they did to dehya, now that mizuki took the standard banner spot i just need iansan to beat the 4* allegations, varesa is the only obstacle in the way.

As a character who was never mentioned and just plops out of nowhere in the middle of 2 regions, her kit is kind of irrelevant, she will get wished on by the people who liked her visual appeal and need a tapir-waifu to tag along their kitsune-waifu. Surface level pitfalls: - introduced right after a "free" Anemo catalyst, 4 years late after Sucrose, in the distand land of Inazuma where Kazuha still reigns supreme - healing is conditional (you have to pick-up stuff, if you're crowd-controlled away, you get nothing. welcome to Circle Impact) - projectile-based catalysts are positively bad.
Does she even have Interruption Resistance during her skill? If not, it'll be a lot worse to play with her on-field unlike Sayu who already have a build-in IR into her skill even though they share similar playstyle.
The only good/cool thing she has is making swirl crit...and that's late into her constellations... If it was either early, like literally C1, or just a part of her base kit, then I could see her at least carving a niche for herself. Be funny seeing a team where Sucrose or Kazuha was the actual dps of the team and the others applying elements were the supports.

It seem like they very much just made her so they have something to add to standard banner, her kit is likely weird and experimental (or clunky) on purpose. If she's worse than limited characters at pretty much everything that's probably a good thing from Hoyo's perspective. It is funny that we get Lan Yan for free right before her though.
I not sure if I do much with Mizuki though if I got her. In most case she pretty much going be just going be another name card collection and turn into a tea pot display in side of my inazuma house.
I think rolling around with sayu is infinitely more fun than whatever mizuki is doing, its not like that swirl damage bonus is doing anything significant in the first place.
I think the issue is that you're looking at her completely wrong. She isn't meant to be a DPS unit, she is an on field support that deals reasonable personal damage. She is a VV user who enables tons AoE reactions for off field sub dps characters who ALSO heals you, allowing you to run 3 off fielders at once. And if she is actually a standard banner character, her C2 becomes a somewhat reasonable constellation to assume to get and it's quite strong. Also, I just don't understand why are you forcing her into an EC team? She does nothing of particularly useful there and most of the good EC characters don't work with her. The reason the OG EC teams were ever played were because it took full advantage of all of Sucroses kit while also just working kinda fine with the available characters. The EM share (that Mizu doesn't have) is a big part of why EC teams were good as the EC damage would be higher accross the board. Personally I'd look more into teams like overload or overvape as those teams have good sub dps units to enable them. Even just vape or melt teams could possibly work with her. The whole reason I assume HYV made Mizu not work with XQ, Yelan, Beidou and Fischl to a degree was most likely to encourage team building and exploring other types of swirl teams than just the EC comp. But here we are, people are still forcing EC team even when all the good options are removed lol. Also, Sucrose has like 3-4 AoE attacks, Mizuki's entire kit has solid AoE, it's not even a question if Mizuki is better in AoE or not lol. Now I'm by no means saying she is amazing or anything (duh, she is a standard character supposedly lmao) and personally I don't particularly care how good she ends up as, but there is a ALOT more to look into than just swapping her with Sucrose in Sucrose's team.

The reason I looked at EC and Aggravate teams is because outside of that she will literally do nothing with the current roster. Her constantly applying anemo is a BAD thing as it means she will swirl away elements in single target or in aoe will maintain an aura on an enemy both of which conflict with each other. For a supposed on field support she only applies vv which any anemo character can do and Sucrose and Kazuha do it while buffing. Can you please tell me what team she is supposed to be played in where she won’t just be a Sucrose/Kazuha downgrade. -She doesn’t work with Xiangling due to er reqs -Ive talked about Fischl -Pretty good with Yae -Mavuika off field teams want hydro or crto drivers which she messes up due to the nature of her constantly applying anemo -doesn’t work with emilie or any geo or dendro off field dps So who are these hidden characters she is supposed to work with they just don’t exist currently lmao
@FliponYT that's just not true. Yeah the roster is more limited but you can easily do a team with every other swirlable elements. She doesn't just apply VV, she also heals and spreads the auras around while also doing more personal damage. And once you maybe get c2 by losing 50/50s she is just legitimately a strong buffer. She won't be a downgrade to Sucrose or Kazuha in most teams where you're on fielding her, assuming you actually build a team that makes sense with her rather than random EC leftovers team lol. Similarly to crystallize, swirl doesn't actually consume all of the aura on enemies, this allows you to swirl AND do the reactions you want, especially in AoE as you're constantly reapplying the auras back and forth. What's stopping you from building a full ER XL? Mualani mains managed to do it lol. Or simply using a second pyro? You don't need hydro or cryo drivers for Mavu. Furina alone would work for example as it doesn't matter much who is the one doing the reacting. You could try something with Ororon and practically any other off fielder and see how it works etc. Nothing stops her teams from running Emilie, Nahida or Albedo or even Chiori. You need to open your mind a bit more when considering her rather than just relying on what you're used to. Hell, superconduct has been buffed to the point of being an actual damaging reaction and it can coexist with aggravate for example allowing both reactions at the same time. There is a lot of stuff that hasn't been properly explored when it comes to reaction nonsense teams. She can work with: Mavu, XL, Dehya, Xinyan (maybe don't use her though lol), Citlali, Ganyu, Rosaria, Kaeya, Yae, Raiden, Kuki, Oro, Fischl, Emilie, Nahida, DMC, Albedo, Furina, Kokomi, Ayato, Mona (kinda), Sucrose and Kazuha. Perhaps I missed someone but that's quite a list of units if you ask me. Limiting your evaluation of her just because she doesn't work with XQ, Yelan and Beidou is a bit goofy if you ask me lol.

Let's not pretend Xilonen did anything interesting. Skill, n2, burst, swap is barebones support gameplay. Any nuance her kit might have on paper doesn't meaningfully affect gameplay beyond forcing two PHEC characters per team minimum.

Yeah she is looking pretty bad. I doubt she'll ever be 'good' but I suspect she'll get at least one or two use cases in the next year or so. That however isn't a reason to pull for a character. For those that are still somehow on the fence, just get her for free when the anniversary rolls around. While her kit leaves a lot to be desired at least her design is decent. Still if you are a newer player that is lacking in anemo options and happen to lose a 50/50 to her she can at least be an option for VV and TTDS while just ignoring how she is designed to be played. Currently there is no way to guarantee a copy of Sucrose (or even Heizou).

It seem like they very much just made her so they have something to add to standard banner, her kit is likely weird and experimental (or clunky) on purpose. If she's worse than limited characters at pretty much everything that's probably a good thing from Hoyo's perspective. It is funny that we get Lan Yan for free right before her though.

I think rolling around with sayu is infinitely more fun than whatever mizuki is doing, its not like that swirl damage bonus is doing anything significant in the first place.
I think the issue is that you're looking at her completely wrong. She isn't meant to be a DPS unit, she is an on field support that deals reasonable personal damage. She is a VV user who enables tons AoE reactions for off field sub dps characters who ALSO heals you, allowing you to run 3 off fielders at once. And if she is actually a standard banner character, her C2 becomes a somewhat reasonable constellation to assume to get and it's quite strong.
Also, I just don't understand why are you forcing her into an EC team? She does nothing of particularly useful there and most of the good EC characters don't work with her. The reason the OG EC teams were ever played were because it took full advantage of all of Sucroses kit while also just working kinda fine with the available characters. The EM share (that Mizu doesn't have) is a big part of why EC teams were good as the EC damage would be higher accross the board. Personally I'd look more into teams like overload or overvape as those teams have good sub dps units to enable them. Even just vape or melt teams could possibly work with her.
The whole reason I assume HYV made Mizu not work with XQ, Yelan, Beidou and Fischl to a degree was most likely to encourage team building and exploring other types of swirl teams than just the EC comp. But here we are, people are still forcing EC team even when all the good options are removed lol.
Also, Sucrose has like 3-4 AoE attacks, Mizuki's entire kit has solid AoE, it's not even a question if Mizuki is better in AoE or not lol.
Now I'm by no means saying she is amazing or anything (duh, she is a standard character supposedly lmao) and personally I don't particularly care how good she ends up as, but there is a ALOT more to look into than just swapping her with Sucrose in Sucrose's team.

She doesn’t work with half the off fielders in the game by virtue of not being able to normal attack. The reason I looked at EC and Aggravate teams is because outside of that she will literally do nothing with the current roster.
Her constantly applying anemo is a BAD thing as it means she will swirl away elements in single target or in aoe will maintain an aura on an enemy both of which conflict with each other. For a supposed on field support she only applies vv which any anemo character can do and Sucrose and Kazuha do it while buffing. Can you please tell me what team she is supposed to be played in where she won’t just be a Sucrose/Kazuha downgrade.

@FliponYT that's just not true. Yeah the roster is more limited but you can easily do a team with every other swirlable elements.
She doesn't just apply VV, she also heals and spreads the auras around while also doing more personal damage. And once you maybe get c2 by losing 50/50s she is just legitimately a strong buffer.
She won't be a downgrade to Sucrose or Kazuha in most teams where you're on fielding her, assuming you actually build a team that makes sense with her rather than random EC leftovers team lol.
Similarly to crystallize, swirl doesn't actually consume all of the aura on enemies, this allows you to swirl AND do the reactions you want, especially in AoE as you're constantly reapplying the auras back and forth.
What's stopping you from building a full ER XL? Mualani mains managed to do it lol. Or simply using a second pyro?
You don't need hydro or cryo drivers for Mavu. Furina alone would work for example as it doesn't matter much who is the one doing the reacting. You could try something with Ororon and practically any other off fielder and see how it works etc.
Nothing stops her teams from running Emilie, Nahida or Albedo or even Chiori.
You need to open your mind a bit more when considering her rather than just relying on what you're used to. Hell, superconduct has been buffed to the point of being an actual damaging reaction and it can coexist with aggravate for example allowing both reactions at the same time. There is a lot of stuff that hasn't been properly explored when it comes to reaction nonsense teams.
She can work with: Mavu, XL, Dehya, Xinyan (maybe don't use her though lol), Citlali, Ganyu, Rosaria, Kaeya, Yae, Raiden, Kuki, Oro, Fischl, Emilie, Nahida, DMC, Albedo, Furina, Kokomi, Ayato, Mona (kinda), Sucrose and Kazuha. Perhaps I missed someone but that's quite a list of units if you ask me. Limiting your evaluation of her just because she doesn't work with XQ, Yelan and Beidou is a bit goofy if you ask me lol.

@@Beddaa honestly I agree, the only satisfying thing about Sucrose (to me) is her burst but even then her design isn't for me.
In fact it's not that she needs Furina because she is healing. (In fact her healing is really bad for Furina as she mainly heals only herself and then when she is above 70% stop healing at all...) She needs Furina because she is one of the best hydro applier for her. Then the next best hydro applier for her is Kokomi... Comes in 3rd position Mona/Nilou...

Let's not pretend Xilonen did anything interesting. Skill, n2, burst, swap is barebones support gameplay. Any nuance her kit might have on paper doesn't meaningfully affect gameplay beyond forcing two PHEC characters per team minimum.

Yeah she is looking pretty bad. I doubt she'll ever be 'good' but I suspect she'll get at least one or two use cases in the next year or so. That however isn't a reason to pull for a character. For those that are still somehow on the fence, just get her for free when the anniversary rolls around. While her kit leaves a lot to be desired at least her design is decent.
Still if you are a newer player that is lacking in anemo options and happen to lose a 50/50 to her she can at least be an option for VV and TTDS while just ignoring how she is designed to be played. Currently there is no way to guarantee a copy of Sucrose (or even Heizou).
