Liam is one of, if not the biggest PVP legend in all of Tibia. I remember playing as him on old Aurea war OTS PVP servers that you could log into with 1/1 passes and select a character based on real tibia players. Those times were sick... So nostalgic.
I remember the real-war war OT (based in Sweden), which was based on Aurea and it was an edited Edron map with 1/1 login. Man I miss that server a lot, I had so much fun on it. I remember when the team I was a part of at the time (we were in total about 5-6 people, all of us using Ventrilo) got challenged by a polish team (I think they were about 8-10 people) on that server. We ended up having the battle in the magic shop area in Edron. The Polish guys got completely owned by us, we took them down 1 by 1 haha. I also miss the YourOTS 7.5 map. I remember that an IP-changer was not necessary to play OTs back in the day, instead you just added the ip to the OT in the client settings in Windows XP. It would read something like C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Tibia\Tibia.exe "INSERT-OT-IP-HERE". Then you just checked the "Test Server Login" in the Tibia client itself and it would connect to the OT server. Those were the days, I would do so much to re-live those days again :/
@@AaaAaa-rz4px What I liked about that OT was despite it being 7.8 (or possibly 7.92) it still had the old pvp-system (no hotkeys except for mana fluids). I played EK most of the time so I tried to get Butibof (if that was his name?) if I could. I even remember another war OT that was similar to this one (might have been the same one but a previous version) that had a Fibula map. I used to troll my own team mates by trapping them with m-walls and then watch the other team kill them ahahahaha. It is a damn pity that there are no OTs like real-war anymore. I can also not understand why, it was the best war OT I've ever played.
The timing, moving, shooting and healing of this dude is very impressive. It requires a lot of concentration and skills not to be shaky or anxious being aimed by so many players. At this time brazilians had shitty internet connections, we weren't able to do half of it, even the best players. I with we could revive the old Tibia today, with good PCs and internet. It would be so nice.
I took part in the war in 2006. We lost so badly. I paid out, but still got killed by Liam afterwards. I had to scrap the equipment from all my chars to make the payment. I lost my leather shoes on that death and Liam was nice enough to send them back to me when I asked.
Yes, indeed :) he was the mad man who played a fucking druid called Emod in our wars on Nova. He was later on rewarded with the character called Kargax, bought from a polish player. What happened after he got his hands on a sorc is what you see in this video but only 10 times more brutal. Kargax was a 130+ sorc with one of the highest mlvls on Nova.
@@Majr0 Well, actually I was playing on Nova and even joined war on NS side but it was in 2006 I belive, so many of the older players were already semi or not active. Always wanted to know the history a little better.
@@Majr0 Do you know where irl he was located? I think it maybe was a classmates older brother. Damn. We was like 20 " close" friends who played :P Mostly Nova back then. But jumped around alot also.
I'm actually watching this amazed at how bad every one was at pvp back then. Not saying they aren't legends, they sure are, as they were the first to figure the basic shit out! But watching Liams pvp here compared to how people pvp now on 7.4 servers he looks kinda average/amateur. (I understand back in the day this was considered outstanding pvp). but if this was ClassicTibia, Medivia Legacy or any modern 7.4 1x server in 2022, James Lome would have died minutes before he even entered the Kaz passage. There were plenty of chances for Liam and his team to trap him but they just didnt. I think it's because back then everyone were young kids playing this game, nowdays it's all grown adults who understand the game properly. It's like the average player now can play as good or better than the legends of back then. Kinda sad =/
Also back then you got adrenaline while pvping, so you did a lot of mistakes sometimes. On OTS you don't give a fuck if you die pretty much so it's easier to handle and play more calm. On retail tibia it''s a "life or death" situation 🤣 You either die and lose everything and become hunted with months/years of playing wasted, or you win.
Bro, imagine ur 15 and your risking months of gameplay with extremply bad PC and shitty connection and also having such an adrenaline rush, brah ur a KID not a gamer with 10 years of experiance..

What a fine battle, real skill demonstration. I love the pot trap, one of the many old features I miss hahahaha. Thank you for this.

I agree, by today's standards that was really weak pvp.
Well hotkeys and manually aim was the 2 biggest thing. Also most players just did run whit SD and UH.
