    Hello Balz,
    how do these new foils perform in waves? Like proper ocean swell, 2-5 m, 18 sec. . And, if you'd go on a trip to peru with such conditions, which foils would you take? Now imagine the wind is low and gusty and you've got 95 kg. ;) Thanks for your help!

    • @sabfoil
      @sabfoil  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi @Jurge-Panama! Medusa PROs perforrm great in waves thanks to improved speed, glide and great carving. They also have a pretty good pump ability, allowing you to easily reach the lineup.
      In those low wind conditions you will probably choose WMP869 or WMP769. If you can have both to choose depending on the swell, even better! ;)

    should I upgrade from my 899 you think? I just cruise and carve and some playing on the waves on my lake with 6.0 to 4.5..... No jumping. Is this the foil I need, or should I choose another from the SAB lineup? btw I now have the 93 mast, 703 fuselage and 430 stab.... Just change the 899 for this one? tx. You rock!

    • @EschBen
      @EschBen 9 дней назад

      The 909 is a great foil. Ist way faster than the 899 and you dont need so much more wind for takeoff. But I think if you want to go for the 909 you should also update your stab to 370/380/395 or sth.
      The 909 is super easy to ride in my experience also for cruising.

    I’m currently riding the 799 and would love the upgrade.
    Should I get the 769 or the 869 as a one do it all?

    Hey, I am kind of confused about the info on the sabfoil site. The medusa pro 669 speeds say 16-18knots take off speed and 31-33 top end speed. Does this mean you need 16-18 knots of winds to start and you can ride the foil until 31-33 knots (until it starts feeling out of control)? Or does it mean you need 16-18 knots of wind to start and the top speed of the foil is around 31-33 knots?

    • @dorstenkarl3878
      @dorstenkarl3878 5 месяцев назад

      Hi, I am pretty sure the take off and top speed is meant. So not the windspeed but the speed of the foil and rider itself

    • @sabfoil
      @sabfoil  4 месяца назад +1

      like @dorstenkarl3878 suggests, you need to ride at 16-18 knt with your foil to take off. It is a pretty small front wing, you need quite a strong condition

    Dear SABFoil friends,
    Another question: With what stabiliser do you recommend to ride this Medusa Pro front wings?

    Hi Baltz
    How do these new Pro wings compare to the 'old' Medusa wings?
    I'm currently using 899 for low wind and 799 for stronger winds.
    Could I just exchange them with the 869 and 769 and get about the same wind range to cover? This looks almost impossible as these wings are almost halve of the cm2 area (500 and 400 cm2 smaller) as the old ones!
    And as I use the current ones a lot in waves, what do you expect from the new Pro model to do in the waves?
    Love to hear from you!
    Greetz from Holland

    • @sabfoil
      @sabfoil  11 месяцев назад +4

      Hi @RonKolijn! As Balz explains, Medusa PROs allow yor for easy and early take-offs even if the surface area is way lower than the standard Medusa line, thanks to the dedicated profile and design.
      About waves, PRO line has better speed, better glide and great carving ability, so we think you will like them very much!

      I could launch/start with about the same wind that I would need with my old WM799, where it is a lot smaller!!!
      And in exchange it gave me lots more manoeuvrability, glide and top speed, without sacrificing on any stability or so... I am still stoked about this positive surprise!

Isn't it simple physics? in this video ruclips.net/video/izKZKNAIcyU/видео.html the distributor says the 850cm could go as early as the 1200 cm2 medusa..... at the end of the day, we mortals would be able to ride it in 15-16 knots at least (bald 6-8 knot low end).
