Characters in order of appearance, and the object I turned them into, and my reasoning behind it:
Rumia: blacklight flashlight, because she’s the youkai of darkness.
Mystia: guitar, because she sings, and she’s also part of a punk rock band where she plays the guitar.
Wriggle: butterfly house, because Wriggle is a bug, and also can control insects.
Cirno: slushie, as she can manipulate cold. Something like a thermostat or a snowflake was too obvious for me.
Marisa: witch hat, specifically her own hat, as she’s a magician who dresses as a witch. Her hat is iconic!
Okuu: unnecessarily complex radiation symbol. She has the power of nuclear fusion.
Koishi: hypnosis pinwheel toy, as she has the power to manipulate the unconscious mind. She used to have the power to read minds, but it is lost.
Eirin: healing potion, as she is known to be a doctor, but also made herself immortal by drinking the hourai elixir. I was slightly tempted to make her the hourai elixir but decided on the healing potion
Keine: history textbook, because of her ability to create or consume history.
Tenshi: shield, as she is extraordinarily tough and resistant to attacks.
Reimu: ribbon, specifically her ribbon, once again, because it is iconic, and makes Reimu’s specific shrine maiden clothing unique. Reimu is a shrine maiden.
Sanae: kite, as she is a wind priestess.
Iku: glass barometer, because of her ability to read the atmosphere.
Remilia: vampire stone, because she’s a vampire.
Sakuya: stopwatch, as Sakuya can stop time.
Patchouli: bookmark, she’s a librarian and a bookworm.
Meiling: bell, because ‘Meiling’ means ‘beauty bell/chime.’
Youmu: watering can, she is a gardener.
Yuyuko: coffin, she can manipulate death.
Yukari: parasol, as she’s almost always carrying an elegant parasol.
Chen: jack-in-the-box, as she is known for surprising people
Ran: her hat
Rinnosuke: magic wand, as he is known for creating magic items, such as Marisa’s mini-hakkero.
Orin: ouija planchette. She usually has the job of carrying away corpses, but she also can communicate with spirits.
Satori: hypnosis pinwheel toy, as she can read minds, and her sister Koishi is also a hypnosis pinwheel toy.
Shinmyoumaru: bowl, as it’s something she carries around and is seen hiding inside of.
Aya: electric fan, as one of her powers is the manipulation of wind.
Nitori: water fountain, because she is a kappa, and they manipulate water.
Daiyousei: daisy, her name reminds me of the word daisy.
Sunny Milk: milk carton, because she has milk in her name
Star Sapphire: star sapphire LOL
Luna Child: moon lamp, because her power comes from moonlight, and she is one of the three fairies of light.
Clownpiece: jester crown, because she’s somewhat dressed as a jester, and her name fits it
Nue: trident, as Nue is often seen carrying one.
Suika: drinking gourd. Suika is an oni, and in the touhou universe, oni are heavy drinkers. Suika also has a drinking gourd chained to her.
Suwako: lily pad, because she’s a frog :)
Flandre Scarlet: vampire stone just like her sister Remilia, a vampire
Nazrin: pied piper flute, as she’s a rat who can control rats.
Captain Murasa: anchor, since she uses it in battle. She’s also a ship phantom, and causes shipwrecks.
Shou: treasure chest, as her ability is gathering treasures.
Ichirin: rose. She’s a flower because “ichirin” is a unit of counting flowers.
Byakuren: wooden fish, as she performs once a month with a wooden fish.
Reisen: megaphone, because of her ability to manipulate sounds and waves.
Seija: firecracker, because it’s arrow shaped, and she can turn things upside down. Her clothes have a lot of arrows on them.
