Nice to find new channels I some how missed yours, I hope to be out in a few weeks , almost finished moult, in the UK we had a decline in rabbits , cotton tail I think you call them, they are on the up now from what I have seen here, I’m hopping for a good season. Good luck with your hawking.
Thank you! I will be adding more content soon! We had a severe decline as well in cottontail and jackrabbits (large hare) due drought and a hemorrhagic virus. But! I think we will have more this season as well because we have had ridiculous rain…which is always good in the desert…and I’ve seen quite a few rabbits. 🤞🏻 Happy Hawking to you!
It is a bolt gun used by rabbit farmers to dispatch the rabbits. It’s the same thing (but smaller) that the beef industry uses to kill cattle for beef.
Isn't it strange when you come up to a part of a field that has nothing but rabbit shit everywhere and there's no rabbits? I was told, that rabbit shit could be five years old. If it's not black, it's old. It's like you get all excited for nothing. The drought is creating a lot of problems for these poor rabbits and other wildlife. Anybody have a good rain dance?
Yes! It is very weird and agree partially with the old poop theory but our climate is so harsh and with monsoons (that we haven’t had in two years) it doesn’t stick around that long and our bunnies poop green and jacks are more rust-brown when fresh. There are days that there is so much of it I can smell it! This has been a problem for the past 2 seasons and I am convinced that it is directly related to all the recreational crap going such as quad runners that have increased a million-fold. The biggest problem is the squatters and campers. Last year I counted 88 of various sizes (tents to huge buses) in a 2-mile stretch. This was at the end of October and I bumped ZERO rabbits for the month of October. The state finally came in and cleared them out, and guess what? the bunnies came out to play too! The joys of living near Sedona and the Grand Canyon.

I like your style.
Awe…thank you! 🤗
how do you attach that transmitter and bell to the back of leroy
He has a backpack on. It’s called a TrackPack that I get from Marshall. Backpack is my preferred transmitter mount and I feel the safest.
What is that spike you use?

@@raptorfalconry Thanks you! I will look into buying one for myself.
@@jrc1975 You’re welcome! They work great on CT and squirrels but not jacks as much.
