If you bought land that cheap you have to think of the value that it will add to it. I can assure you that you won't clear it cheaper with conventional equipment.
i really am impressed with this cutter. Good operator skill to control the fall and use the top side of the disk. That comes with experience. My brush cutting equipment gets the job done but does not eat it up like this.
I have never seen a horizontal disc or blade that exploded the cuttings like that.. Does not appear to give a uniform fragment size but still impressive for square feet cleared per hp hour.
It appears that the increase in speed afforded by the larger diameter of the disc makes the most of the power available from the skid steer, more so than the drum type shredder.
It's all about Marketing! Great Catch your attention to the process video. I look at the equipment and its noticeable speed over a drum head-the Video was made to sell your services not feed my interest. It did, however, do a bit of both. again Good job. Have you ran a Drum and do you prefer the disc? I am looking at a Diamond Forestry similar to the ECO and would value your opinion?
That thing does work!! I have a t 770 running a rotary mower, does my machine have enough HP to productively turn that disc?? Just wondering if that would be a productive investment or do I need to get a bigger CTL
Loved that video. I need smth like this. But, unfortunately that machine works under idealistic scenario. 1. Trees are all the same age and kind. 2. Field is flat. How would it perform here in Canada ? Trees are vary in sizes and kinds, also we have plenty of rocks ...
They Rut 60” sales for around 16 thousand dollars plus tax. The 60” Diamond disk will run around 30 to 40 thousand. It’s a definite high flow pice of equipment.
I need this machine, seriously i have over 25 acres of land and buying more, the ones i'll be buying are full of trees and we gotta pay 60 dollars an hour to remove all trees of ever peace of land with a front wheel loaded if i can get this machine it will reduce cost greatly because i'll do it my self, and just pay to remove and take all the trees that are left
Hey, that's cool...Thanks for that! Also we apologize that you didn't get any entertainment value and lost 50 seconds of your time. Best to you. Everyone the .50 is a safe link, feel free to use.
Good question! These trees and brush are only up to 10" diameter trees in fact in this video the are between 6 and 8" and much more suitable for mulching especially since mulch is a great ph balance as it decomposes also it helps prevent erosion and goes a long way toward preventing volunteer pines that grow like weeds in our area, from coming back. Once pines are cut, they don't come back like hardwoods do unless new ones germinate.
+russ carney Hi Russ, we understand that on the surface it can appear that way but in actuality those little 5 inch pine trees are so close together that they will never thrive and become full grown trees and are robbing nutrition of the larger trees that are useful to the environment. Since these 5 inch trees won't get to be very large, what we are doing by mulching the trees makes those trees useful by leaving the mulch on the ground is returning natural resources back to the soil and as the mulch decomposes it causes the ground to be much more fertile and useful land. Thanks for you comment as we are always glad to share our contribution to help nature thrive!
The are too small for anything use and they are to close together to get big enough to do any good. But we are making room for the big ones to thrive :-)
This is a great machine. I wish that I owned one; but why destroy these trees? They appear to have been planted about 10 years ago. What was the point? Why were they planted in the first place? Was it the owner's intention to harvest them for mulch? If he wanted the pulp, he would have harvested them in a different way. By grinding them up, he is leaving his only asset to rot on the ground. Perhaps he found a buyer who would pay him more money but only if the land was vacant. I believe in the owners' right to use his land in any way that he chooses but what happened in 10 years to change his priorities? Merely 10 years ago, he felt that the best use of this land was to have a wood lot? If his commitment to the best use of this land has changed in only 10 years, then maybe he should have considered his original plan more carefully.
Actually, the plan 10 years ago was to make this video, 'in 10 years'. Kidding. Agreed though, why just destroy the trees and not use them for *anything*? It's kinda stupid, as is the music.
all i can say is that it goes a lot faster than a drum style mulcher they put on skid steers. Skid steers are to low powered to drive those drums. Under 100hp, drums with fixed hammers aren't any good. Just a waste of time, fuel, money. Not to mention the short life-span of the engine and hydraulics of the skid steer. A 160 or 180hp tractor, with a PTO driven mulcher, with that you can make also good money. A good 2nd hand tractor isn't that expensive. Like a Fendt, with reverse steer and seat.
Awesome set up. That thing likes to eat. Cutting and mulching those little pines speeds up the decomposing process.
Every company that I have called like this quote me more than I paid per acre for my land itself!! I don't know who could afford ?
Contact a logger with several crews working for him. He will probaly have one. Ask him nice and you might get lucky and get a job done real cheep.

@@wpog8453 You're right. His best bet is to spray by helicopter. cleanup a mess
This would make a great high speed thick brush forestry mower

Get rid of the music so you can hear the machine.
Guys music off silly over I actually want to hear the equipment.

T770 pumps 36.6 gpm

Thank you Mrs Hudson! Always ready to serve! LOL
Excellent video!

Nice with soft Pines but show it mulching hardwood trees!
+21Barbwire Not a lot here, but we do all the time!
Save some of your life..set it to 2x the speed.
Your Welcome
They show this “cutting/mulching Head” on flat ideal ground to work in. Hit a couple hidden rocks in tall grass and that thing will be totaled out.
No it won't
@@dropndeal ignorance, that's how
Don't listen to what people say about turning off the music I Love You video and I love music
If I had that size pine trees, I would sell them for pulp wood.
Holy mackerel batman!
How much for clearing 1 acre
satisfying
Other viewers, to avoid wasting your time like I did, begin the video at 0:50 when it actually starts.

bad ass machine
Wow
Nice 👍🏼
No bird's nests were mulched in this video.
now that's funny
I like the way these just cut the tree down and pull it in. Next thing you know, no tree
+John Doe That is exactly what we say all the time! Now you see it and now you don't!
👍🏻😊😊👍🏻👍🏻
You got a disc mulcher I can rent from you?
wow...
Why not get a tree spade and box and sell all those trees?

+KarasCyborg I agree, what a waste of resource

Tree man kills trees
This has to be the stupidest start of a video i have ever watched...but equipment did a nice job.....
No wildlife checking I see?
All the tree bark from those trees will not decompose in 5 years

If you spent as much time on improving your recording as time spent on gimmicky music and intros then you could have something to watch.
