Mark, Mike here in Texas! I enjoy watching your instruction more than any other. You make the point and then show how to work on the problem! Thanks and keep the videos coming!
Thank you as always, Mark. With this video, I spent the entire time just watching/focusing on your right forearm, and where it is and what it's doing throughout the swing. It was my personal eureka moment!
Shot my career low yesterday by practicing with one of your drills Mark. 73(+2) but I usually am around 80. Definitely will keep on that direction thanks for the tips!
Mark, I love your videos! Question on this one: if you tilt that shoulder so much, how do you still have the space to make that club come through and not hit the ground earlier than you should and how do you make sure you catch up quick enough with the clubface to where your hands are at impact?
He focused on the shoulder tilt, but if you do this without rotating properly it will bottom out early into the ground ... so to answer the question, it's to rotate ...
I'm wasting 150mph driver ball speed with this exact fault hitting low fading stingers half the time then when I get the right shoulder down and through low drawing stingers with the low hands release, really need to ingrain that right shoulder move and high hands over shoulder release, thanks Mark.
You've hit on something here. I feel when I strike my irons well that I almost try to hit them with my right shoulder and now I see why that feel works. I definitely will work on this with my driver too.
This is exactly me . I can not get this . The feeling I get when I accomplish the shoulder drop my weight is stuck on back foot . Ugh 😑 .. Content is amazing ! I WISH I could get this .. Thank you please keep the content 👍
Why has no one told me this! Cant wait to try this on the range, I've been hitting woods and hybrids off the tee recently because of no trust with the Driver. Scored well keeping the ball more in play but leaving some shots out there with lack of distance
For me high hands was cause of my slice. Now I grip the driver while high hand, that fixed everything for me. I have tried everything. Grip, swing from inside, release early.
Great timing Mark, i have been doing this move right shoulder down for over a week now and when i do do this, i crash my driver head into the ground before the ball? any ideas where im going wrong?
Been working on this, for me the cure is making sure the left leg fires, you have to get the hips rotated to get out of the way. Look how straight his left leg is at impact, he's almost jumping back.
Think this might help me with duck hook as well. Think I come over the top and usually have the clubface closed giving me the snap hook though sometimes clubface is open and I get a slice. Occassionally I've hit a straight shot 😂
I don't slice, I'm a hooker, but I have been working on your release drills and getting more flexion in the wrist and it is working very well with the driver but I am hitting a lot of thin irons, is this just a timing thing or do I need more bow on the backswing to compensate for the release?
The main reason why amateur golfers don't have enough tilt like that is because they CAN'T (myself included). Sitting in the office all day will lead to very tight IT bands (basically all the muscles on the sides of your hips and thighs). If you don't work on stretching them, like regularly rolling them on a fascia roll or doing something similar, you won't be able to tilt like that, because the tightness will keep you more upright.
If this drill helps you will love this videos 👇

Thank you Mark!❤
Thanks for the reminder, it's always the little things that get you more than some sort of full remake of the swing ...

Solid stuff Mark!!! Love ripping golf balls with this move.
Brilliant, man.

This tip was the Tylenol for my headache that is my driver swing lol. Thanks for another awesome drill/video.
Outstanding video.
Mark, you definitely tee the ball inside your lead foot. Do you throw the club head with your right hand? Please tell.
You've hit on something here. I feel when I strike my irons well that I almost try to hit them with my right shoulder and now I see why that feel works. I definitely will work on this with my driver too.
Like - Like - Like. Thanks Mark. One of those moves that make sense but we don't do.

I'm curious about this too steve, I have the exact same problem
Been working on this, for me the cure is making sure the left leg fires, you have to get the hips rotated to get out of the way. Look how straight his left leg is at impact, he's almost jumping back.
Should this same movement and principle be on all clubs?
Yes it can help all clubs
Think this might help me with duck hook as well. Think I come over the top and usually have the clubface closed giving me the snap hook though sometimes clubface is open and I get a slice. Occassionally I've hit a straight shot 😂

Did you watch my last round of golf, Mark? This feels personal ;)
It is personal. It’s always personal
You da man!
This info should be behind a paywall 😋
bravo 👏 👏 👏
Great tip Mark!!
Heard a better tip, get rid of that shaft !!!!

Your welcome.
What shaft are you using? No pun intended.
Obviously, it all depends on your weight shift VS. rotational swing
its a hand path issue, hands come too far out from the top
Misleading title as it is not stopping to turn the shoulders, but turn them more upwards.
That was never 5 minutes! Can I get a refund? Seriously, Great lesson once again! You're welcome : )
Don't overdo it or you'll end up with a back like Will Z
Nice tips ‘ but very gay shaft on that driver lol 😝
