It should be noted that Goin' Nuts can be played in the Pinball Arcade, and The Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collction for the Wii; two games made by Farsight.
What a great, unique game. You will NEVER see a pin like this in today's pinball world being produced- something like this is too risky, they play it too safe now, its like alot of pinball machines today are the same basic layout.
AFAIK, Farsight already got that covered, as they got a licensing deal with Columbia/Sony to release pinball games based on their movies; Dracula, Last Action Hero, Frankenstein, and Starship Troopers were games that came out of the deal, as was Ghostbusters (a re-themed Haunted House).
lol , this q bert search gets better and better. i have such a long history with this game , as does my family
The BGM during gameplay was actually also used on an unproduced machine called "Goin' Nuts", also made by Gottlieb.

I'm surprised if Goin' Nuts was never produced. Nice Farsight was able to replicate that one (just read only 10 prototypes were made).
However they were able to collect, one, I'm glad they did, because now we can all play Goin' Nuts. :)
Good to see other people noticed this.
I love quirky pinball games, and this definitely goes on my list. In fact, it's right up there with Space Invaders and Spectrum.
This is such a wacky and cool game. Thanks for sharing.
Just bought one! I'll post videos of the resto as I go.

Wow what a unique play field, really cool. Nice rare game you've got there.
The entire table layout is looks crazy!
In a good way.
I'd love to see this available on Pinball Arcade.
+Desmaad I agree 100%. Ask Fairsights Technologies via. Facebook.
Unless they'd have to get Columbia Pictures/Sony to agree to use Q*bert for it.
I also vote for this as on Pinball Arcade - Id love to play this.

Im not sure if that deal extended to this particular pinball game. But I don't know the details of the rights.
That game sure looks like a lot of fun
I didn't know Q*bert was related to the Wizard of Wor lol :P
This is a reskinned of Goin' Nuts an unreleased proto that Gottlieb did produced but did not make it into market so they used Q*Bert
It is not. Same background soundtrack. Only similarity.
yay what an awesome machine
It has the same music as Going Nuts by Gottieb.
I long to play this
I kinda wish I could invite you over to play, Wendy, but I happily sold it years ago. Not enough fun, imho. I still 'need' a Q*bert arcade game!
Yes I does
True Americana !

That thing is sweet! :)
that is one odd flipper layout
There's a lot of weird jibberish voice in this.
That premise was probably inspired by the experimentation of randomized
speech data for the Votrax SC-01, the game's speech chip.
