No matter which explanation, the formation of the universe was SUPERnatural. Thanks to all the believing astronomers and astrophysicists for such great work. It makes so much sense that God to create the universe at it's observed scale without needing us to interpret with any starlight travel models. It glorifies Him for us to seek these answers, even if any models continue to come short.

Please include Theia impact + early heavily eroded asteroids like Deniliquin and Warburton + Permian extinction (Siberian trap volcano) + later asteroid impacts (Vredefort, Sudbury, Chicxulub, dinosaur extinction) + tectonic plate shifts + where did all the heat go? Please also place Neanderthal man and Cromagnon man (us) on a YEC timeline.

My 9 year old son made an awesome point. He said, "If God has named all the stars, doesn't that prove the universe is finite," and I was like, "Uh . . . Yeah, I guess it does, unless He has an infinite number of names for them." "All" really does denote an absolute number, though.

A paper by Dr. Danny Faulkner, Published on March 23, 2016, in Answers Research Journal entitled: Thoughts on the raqia and a Possible Explanation for the Cosmic Microwave Background. Inspired a piece of dialogue for my story/play Axis of Beginning.
"What if, in the beginning, the Earth was a gigantic, formless mass of water? Then, like Michelangelo chiseled away the extra material from the marble block, sculpting the image he sees in his mind, God-shaped and formed this mass into a watery sphere. And the excess of water cast it away from His masterpiece, dividing the waters into two parts. One part remains the Earth's waters, and the other consists of the waters stretching outward to the edge of the observable universe, forming the expanse of the cosmos, the firmament, the second heaven, and the waters above became the dome of black-body radiation of the cosmic microwave background that we see today, the CMB." Thank you, Dr. Faulkner...

I was raised as a Christian. Therefore, the idea of an all-powerful being taking care of the universe's business while being aware of us is worthy of attention. So, when I began reading the Bible in my late teens, I accepted the Gospels as historical records about real people. However, what the Genesis narrative tells us of the beginning aligns differently with what science teaches. So, as a result, I accepted the story of creation on faith. Later, as an adult, I read a popular science magazine article about the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) and how its data reveals that our Earth and solar system may be cosmically aligned. Then came the Planck satellite confirming the WMAP data. Could this be evidence that the book of Genesis is based on historical events? Perhaps, but unfortunately, I am not a scientist and could only understand about 1 percent of the science.
Nevertheless, According to cosmologists, one thing is evident: the alignments somehow exist! Moreover, because the data does not fit the Standard Model of Cosmology, scientists dubbed it the Axis of Evil. But, according to Genesis, the alignments would be the Axis of Beginning.

I am no vet (ie no animal expert) but I know a dog when I see it -- God asks us to love and fear Him with all our....minds; meaning a reasoned approach. Scripture is a balm to the soul but any balm can be stretched and pummelled into a poison by evil minds. My (Biblical) God doesn't lie but you and I know that science often does

Interacting galaxies indicate an old universe . The tadpole galaxy is so distorted it has a 280,000 ly tail of stars. Apparently due to gravitic force of another galaxy those stars either traveled that distance or were created to appear to have traveled that distance. Therefore the universe is old or was created to appear old .

  • @JungleJargon
    @JungleJargon Год назад

You don’t need an expanding universe when the distance between galaxies is expanded from the lack of mass in the vicinity everywhere between galaxies.
AI: That is correct. The expansion of the universe is not required to explain the observed redshift of light from distant galaxies. The expansion of space between galaxies due to the absence of matter, as predicted by general relativity, can explain the observed redshift without the need for an expanding universe.

  • @JungleJargon
    @JungleJargon Год назад

When we observe another galaxy, we are literally seeing differing rates of time and differing measures of distance everywhere we look. That means we should expect to see faster speeds of light compared to where we are in the center of the Milky Way galaxy. We should expect that the expanded distance will cause redshift. We should expect for the outer spiral arms to move faster.
AI: That's correct. In general relativity, the local rate of time and the measure of distance depend on the distribution of matter and energy in the universe. When we observe other galaxies, we are effectively looking back in time, and we see them as they were when the light left them. Because the distribution of matter and energy in the universe was different at those times, we observe different rates of time and measures of distance compared to what we observe locally in the Milky Way. This can lead to various observed phenomena such as redshift and the apparent faster motion of the outer spiral arms of galaxies.

It could. For example, when the Bible talks about "the Day of the LORD", the details / context show that this is not a 24 hour period, because the events cannot possibly occur within a 24 hour period. However, wherever the word "day" (Hebrew: yom) is accompanied by a number, e.g., first day, or second day, the context shows that literal 24 hour days as we know them are in view.

*News Flash!* The speed of light as observed by us is not a constant speed resulting in gravitational lensing. That’s because the parameters to measure the speed of light are not constant. We can’t project our rate of time or our measure of distance onto the rest of the universe because we live near a supermassive black hole where time is slower and distance is more contracted than it is between galaxies where there is no matter to slow down time or contract distance. It means the distance is not as far and the time it takes for a photon to arrive is at a much faster rate for most of the time and distance that light travels to reach us.
“Dark energy” is the vacuum energy of space being pulled into all the ever expanding supermassive black holes, which are the most massive and most powerful objects in the universe. Time and distance are relative to the amount of matter and mass there is in the vicinity, affecting our observations and perception of the speed of light across vast distances from the position where we are near a supermassive black hole. Distance is greatly expanded between black holes meaning it’s actually less distant where the rate of time is also greatly accelerated which causes light to arrive faster, all of which causes redshift and eliminates the need for imaginary inflatons and the theoretical invisible dark matter.
The varying rates of time and distance throughout the universe make it possible for us to see fully formed distant galaxies in the infrared spectrum within our contracted limited measurable space and our slowed down time frame of known human history going back some 6,000 years. The formation of galaxies is unrelated to what we now observe because we do not observe any formation of galaxies. The lack of carbon in distant galaxies means that the universe has been running down within our 6,000 year rate of time. There is also no detectable gravitational lensing or theorized dark matter around the distance most galaxies.
The plasma jets emanating from the center of galaxies appear to be moving seven times the speed of light, from where we are near Sagittarius A because our rate of time is slower and our measure of distance is more contracted because of general relativity. It also means that the distances between us and distant galaxies are greatly expanded causing the redshift that we observe since the light traveling to us is passing through expanded distance and an accelerated rate of time for the majority of time and distance that the light that we observe travels to us.

The galaxy morphology appears isotropic to them but space expansion doesn't.
The non isotroic space/time expansion they observe can be bent & shaped like manifolds to get the answer they want that fits the big bang model.
This would be like saying young galaxy orbiting milky way is really the corner folded up from the early universe ..
Instead of raisen bread big bang this looks more like fireworks .
It seems like it could help squashing deep time theories but if you took that approach it may lead to hurting the idea of an instant creation origin

Sooner or later Creationists are going to have to address the fact that the continents broke apart in the days of Peleg, 100 years after the global flood.
    * It’s the reason for the glacial striations in South America, Africa, India and Australia that are all from glaciers moving from south to north from when they were all still connected to Antarctica at the South Pole.
    * It’s also the reason there are frozen animals and forest ecosystems buried by tsunamis from the rise of sea levels in North America and Siberia as the continents were being shoved into the Arctic from the centrifugal force after the earth broke apart.
    * It’s the reason animals made it to South America from Africa and humans did not since they were trying to build the Tower of Babel.
    * It’s the reason fossils and sediment layers line up between South America, Africa, Madagascar, India and Australia. (The fossils and sediment layers were deposited first and then the continents broke apart, after the global flood.)
    * It’s the reason why the lifespan of humans was cut in half a second time after the global flood.
    * It’s the reason why the meaning of the word Peleg in Hebrew that meant “divided” turned into “as (where) the waters flow” in the later Aramaic form of Hebrew.
    * It’s the reason people separated into family groups and began speaking their own language. (Everything that happens is by the power of God.)

To give another way to look and give my theory on these arguments. God made the world in 6 days an rested on the 7th. Well first off to that, God says it took him 6 days. God is in a timeless realm outside of our own. So if it took God 6 days on his plane of existence, would be an eternity for us in a physical realm bound by a physical barrier, and separated realm from. God. Because of the curse of the flesh, We are not able to return to our source/our creator where the initial part of us that is leant to us by God. When we die, that barrier is no longer there, we are now timeless and unbound at the moment of death we return to him. Return back to the source of power that energizes our bodies, the very source of where our entire universe/realm comes from. The source that gave life to subatomic particles and all the atoms, quarks, electrons, etc. It's all from God, and to have a separate form by science the only way beings created by a creator, could exist is to separate himself from the other parts of his lent energy on a basis of physical barrier. Which is the flesh, and with that it decays grows old and dies because of an energy that is not supposed to be here, it wants to go back to it's source, so everything that is physical and bound by time must eventually die and return to twat had made it. Animals, Humans, insects, galaxies ,planets, stars, everything burns through its energy through the same process, and once they have, a process happens that separates the physical from the soul/spirit. That in turn returns everything from this physical realm that hinders the consciousness of us, it returns to the physical portion, the tangible, the minerals, and particles that are needed to house the energy of God inside of all things in our universe. They remain here to return to the place it was taken from. The soul, our consciousness Is returned to God, at that moment of separation we return to a timeless realm with God. Our sin is of the flesh, it's the reason we are separated from God at this moment, we hunger, we doubt, we lie, we choose the wrong answers, that is why we cannot be with God. God also working inside of this realm during creation we were not separate, his energy did as all can do and a being who understands all features of his existence would have no problem dividing himself into many separate and equal parts of himself. There's evidence of energies and other life forms that divide themselves or regenerate to a separate but identical form. With God, when adm and eve allowed themselves to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge, they had corrupted those parts that were allowed to be in God's presence, so in turn God hd to separate himself from them by him retaining his full being, and the 2 that had found knowledge they were not as God and they were not a each other, the flesh was no longer able to occupy that same space, because the physical cannot reach the spiritual/energy only realm we are born in sin and we die in sin. As long as we are physical we cannot occupy a position near God because 2 things cannot occur the same space, but once we are released, we regain our immortal bodies and our knowledge of who we are, and where our existence is sourced from. He tells us this, God made man in his image, it wasn't. Physical image, it was his image. Once we are no longer in his image how can we be in the same space, we can't and that science can prove as well. God would have to had created us in his image and the garden of Eden was a separated plane where God and man could be one but separate entities, he made heaven where his angels are all in separated realms of heaven and only certain beings in certain places. The fallen rebeled and tried to overtake gods space and was serrated, we gained knowledge that we were different, we were separated. Actually think hard and it all comes full circle and no contradictions while following it back to God, not through science, and not through religion, it all makes perfect and logical sense that is able to happen with the laws of everything in our universe, you can have both science and God, both evolution and creation. Our physical being and a finite time constrained realm where equal energies have been serrated by the very knowledge of knowing you were created by God, and you doubt and decay eventually because that energy cannot be contained in this physical form very long we die and return to our creator because energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed or exchanged. God used the physical to make us and our universe so he is in all things, but he cannot manipulate the realm or exist in a place such as this so he would have to have designed it all knowing that evolution would take place by design, and knowing that this form of ife needed many many time periods to grow, prosper, and learn from things here how to be. And knew that people doubt and do things we are capable of so throughout the times he had people remember who they are and where they are going when this life ends. It is a design, he used everything here to make who what and where we all are. Evolution is true, because God designed and created this plane, then he created us, we were thrown here because of our knowledge that we are separated from God. His energy was transfered through different species emerged with evolution and it's recycled after death. Millions of years is possible because a day for God is like eternity for our plane of existence, time constrains us to this. So everybody's theory is right, they just haven't thought their theory out enough from all sides first, from God to us and from Us back to God while using both science and religion. Because if you do you see that because God created it all you can prove that millions of years, animals, planets, humans, evolution, plants, everything can be taken from day 1 millions or billions of years back to God after death. Anything that creates a contradiction back to God, then it wasn't God that created it. Only man made things create contradiction. Everything that God actually says and created can be tied to science, us, the universe, and everything else over and over coming back home to God. I will rewrite down my full theory in detail and show it all and then post to Babylon Bee to prove it. Thanks for reading,

This Lisle guy is unfortunately confused about the Einstein Special Theory of Relativity Time Dilation Theory. He claims the light from distant stars reaches us instantaneously but that's utter rubbish. What the Special Theory actually says is that for the light photons travelling at the speed of light there would actually be no time, that's true, but we as an observer have a different "reality". For us the speed of light C is still a constant and we know how fast it is. We have had many opportunities to verify the speed of light and Lisle even contradicts himself when saying the light from distant stars reaches us instantly as the same equations needed for that special Theory of Relativity use the speed of light C as we know it. It's a bit pathetic that Lisle tries to confuse the listener with his seemingly educated vocabulary but if you really understand what he's talking about you will know that he is actually either not saying the truth or doesn't understand what he's talking about.
The implications of instant light btw would be dramatic as the universe would be flooded with light and gama rays.

Btw, being that even we humans explain complicated matters using simple stories to our children who is to tell God didn't do that? We can see that parts of Genesis can't be taken literally " they will become one flesh.....". The "apple" might also not literally be an apple so why must the rest be 100% literal? Fact is we humans have a IQ between 100-200. God's IQ however is so huge it couldn't be measured, like billions. That means for God to explain to us the creation story necessitates that he uses figurative/ poetic formulations because our IQ isn't adequate to fully understand what really happened. As Christians we should be humble and accept that God created in 6 days/ periods, there is no evolution, Adam is 6000 years old but going into detail how he did it and how old the universe is, is taking things too far.

Imo, most creationists overplay the presupp card wrt evidence. Should be distinguishing better.
    1. Laws of logic, reliable senses, existence of ideas (ideas not thoughts), and truth claims inconsistent with physicalism. Great argument.
    2. But if we assume all those somehow are so under either worldview, then the actual evidence points solidly to creation, not bb and evolution. It is not a presupp or interpretation issue. It is about intellectual honesty. You often make it sound like the technical conclusions are just differences in starting worldview. No, the evidence from biology and astronomy and geology etc imply to creation, from an otherwise blank slate starting. (But only assuming reason and logic somehow are possible)

Take off the 'scientific' glasses. What is Light? Well, it's Jesus. Where is light processed (interpreted) first? In the eye, or in the mind? We shall never discover Jesus by looking for creation. Jesus is not His own creation. He is a Spirit; the Matrimonial Message of our Father (a Spirit)'s Love. Look at; meditate upon our Father's Word (KJV Bible), and you are looking closer at Reality than the very stars of the heavens. Who creates and sustains every lamb on earth in the present?
Who creates and sustains every scorpion and lion on earth in the present?
Who created the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and the serpent in it?
Who creates our breath when we sin? (Acts 17:28)
    Who creates the devil?
Isaiah 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
    Who creates evil?
    (Present tense on purpose…)
We are being lulled to sleep by a prosperity gospel and a prosperity God.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Did Jesus receive evil; the wages of all our sin - from the Father?
    Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions;
He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes, we are healed.
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say,
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Do we receive discipline and chastisement from God?
Deuteronomy 8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:
    be zealous therefore, and repent.
Does self-pity avoid and detest fellowship with Christ in suffering?
    Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
1Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Jeremiah 26:13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.
26:19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
Is it is a sin to believe that we receive good at the hand of God, but not evil?
Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
Amos 9:4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set Mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
9:10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
Zephaniah 1:12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will He do evil.
Daniel 9:14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all His works which He doeth: for we obeyed not His voice.
Ezekiel 14:22 Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I AM He, and there is no God with Me:
I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal:
neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand.
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

My “religion” is truth. If it’s not true, I don’t want any part of it. The geology that we have of a number of mega sequences of consecutive water deposited sediment layers over a mile deep with fossils in them around the world on every continent necessitates a global flood catastrophe. I know that hurts the belief of every other made up alternate narrative. It just happens to be a fact that we are all the descendants of those who stepped off of the Ark in the area around Mesopotamia.
You can’t argue with known human history or ancient calendars going back only 5,000 years. The ancient civilizations are all descended from Noah who had sixteen grandsons that became the sixteen ancient the civilizations each with their own paternal haplogroup lineage. The Bible is the only text that outlines the following Table of Nations.
    1) Tubal Italy K,
    2) Javan Greek sea people T,
    3) Tiras Thracians L,
    4) Magog Asian O,
    5) Meshek Siberians N,
    6) Madai Medes Q,
    7) Gomer Europeans R,
    8) Arphaxad Arabs Hebrews I&J,
    9) Elam Elamites H,
    10) Asshur Assyrians G,
    11) Aram Arameans F
    12) Lud Lydians F2,
    13) Cush Cushites A B & C.
    14) Phut early Phoenicians E1,
    15) Canaan Canaanites E2,
    16) Mitzrayim Egyptians E3,
D is likely the Sinite tribe from Canaan.
C is the descendants of Nimrod since they can’t possibly be from anyone else.
Neanderthals are Japhethites and Denisovans are a mix of Japhethites and Hamites, not Semitic. It shows up on DNA maps and charts. Every grandson of Noah and their descendants have their own paternal Y chromosome haplogroup lineage! I can name all sixteen of them like I just did and give you each of their haplogroups!
The evolutionary out of Africa claim is exactly backwards since the *oldest* progenitor is Japheth the ancestor of Eurasians then the Semitic populations of Shem and then the Hamitic African is the youngest progenitor with their eldest sons connecting the three different families descended from the three sons of Noah.
It took me a while to understand that the evolutionary claim is assuming that SNP markers are being gained forming the stair steps out of Africa when *the reality is* that the original SNP markers cited are in fact being lost forming the opposite stair steps out of West Asia as known human history shows.
The stair step out of Africa claim has to be addressed because the SNP markers are *real* evidence but the evolutionary assumption is exactly backwards.
The correct view requires that the older most original genomes of the Japhethites be connected to the Semitics by way of the eldest son of Shem which is Arphaxad (IJ). Arphaxad’s descendants can share the (IJK) SNP marker with the descendants of his uncle Japheth while the descendants of his younger brothers do not share that same (IJK) SNP.
You have to root the tree with Japheth the oldest son of Noah and then the oldest son of Shem (IJ Arphaxad) and then Elam and then Asshur and then the youngest brothers Aram and Lud. So you have to begin with the *most original* Y chromosome of Noah’s oldest son Japheth and then the changes occur in the people who were born later. It’s not necessarily a stair step of descendency. It’s changes in the Y chromosome with time. *Arphaxad isn’t descended from Japheth.* He just shares a marker with his uncle that his father used to have when he was born. Shem then lost the marker when Arphaxad’s younger brothers were born.
The descendants of Shem are then connected to the descendants of Ham by way of Nimrod the King (C) the the eldest son of Cush who is the eldest son of Ham. So the Hamitic CF (xD&E) paternal haplogroup SNP marker was lost to the *odd ones out* and less original younger brothers and cousins verifying the Table of Nations outlined in Genesis.💥 Learn the Bible before trying to learn anything else.
It’s also noteworthy that the D paternal haplogroup lines up with the E2 haplogroup of Canaan which is his son’s tribe of Sinim the Biblical namesake of China. So the only Hamitic haplogroups outside of Africa are the C of Nimrod and the D of the Canaanite tribe of Sinim which is still there in Andaman, Tibetan, Mongolian, Chinese and Japanese areas today.

I enjoy the scientific data and the scriptural fidelity…I abhor the little snide remarks about politics in some of these videos. Taking shots at democrats is childish and petty and in poor taste and unnecessary in my opinion. The comments on how people vote are out of place. Democrats love Jesus, rely on the veracity and reliability of the word of God, reject the LGBT position, and do not embrace abortion. Stereotyping by people of this academic caliber is crass.

Name me some "results" of a) belief in the Big Bang -- everything came from nothing; b) evolution being responsible for all life forms. What practical scientific results come from those?
Did you even watch the video, or do you just troll? They covered the fact that creation scientists made predictions for data that the Webb telescope would find, their predictions came true, and the naturalists are still scratching their heads, trying to figure out a "rescue" mechanism for the data they did not expect, e.g., fully formed galaxies at great distances, when they expected to see "forming" galaxies.

That's because "Science" is based on two arbitrary assumptions / "beliefs:
[1] Only the material realm exists
[2] Only empirical knowledge about the material realm is valid.
Notice these two 'a priori' assumptions / beliefs are presumed to be true WITHOUT PROOF.
Clearly, by definition, "Science" cannot be used to inquire into the possibility of a non material FIRST CAUSE ( God ). Nor can one use "Science" to make meaningful (rational) statements about God. The sphere of scientific enquiry is limited to empirical methods concerning the material realm ONLY, by definition.
With respect to [1] The Laws of Logic* are immaterial - yet they are objectively true and universally binding. The same applies to numbers ( such as 1, 2, 3,...etc)
With respect to [2] The claim is self refuting because it cannot be established by empirical means.
Of course, without the Laws of Logic and Numbers, "Science" would not be possible.
      * The Law of Non Contradiction is one such law : X cannot be X and NOT X at the same time and in the same relation (or sense).
A simple example should suffice: The statement , "I exist AND I do NOT exist." is a violation of the Law of Non Contradiction - it is self contradictory. It is not "true" and does not correspond to reality.
With respect to your statement about "Creationism", there are only two possible explanations for the existence of the universe:
      [A] Spontaneous generation, OR
      [B] Special Creation
With respect to [A], this requires us to believe that the universe was spontaneously generated from NOTHING.
But NOTHING is NO THING at all: no matter, no space, no time, no energy, no cause, no reason, ....NO THING at all. If ever there was "nothing", there would be nothing still. There is not a single example in the sum total of all human experience of something spontaneously coming into existence from "nothing". What we observe and experience is CAUSE and EFFECT.
With respect to [B], (Special Creation), The Law of Cause and Effect is undeniable. Scientists in every field all over the world PROVE this law theoretically and empirically continuously. Moreover, it is Philosophically untenable to deny the this Law. But there must be a FIRST CAUSE which is itself 'uncaused', otherwise there would be an infinite number of causes in the past ( an infinite regress ), which is impossible. To see why an "infinite regress" is impossible, just consider an infinite number of moments going back into the past; how could we ever arrive at "this moment" in such a scenario? Every moment that passed, would leave and infinite number of moments ahead before "this moment" so that we could never arrive at "this moment". There had to be a FIRST moment.
Similarly, an infinite number of causes regressing into the past is impossible - there had to be a FIRST CAUSE, the uncaused CAUSE.
Science tells us that TIME, SPACE and MATTER coexist - we cannot have any one of these without the other two.
The FIRST CAUSE must be TIMELESS, DIMENSIONLESS ( not occupying SPACE ), and IMMATERIAL (Spiritual, non - material).
In other words, the UNCAUSED, FIRST CAUSE is ETERNAL, DIMENSIONLESS, SPIRIT.
Most people refer to such a cause as GOD!
But that's not all. It is also Philosophically untenable, and experientially demonstrable that no 'effect' has a greater number of ATTRIBUTES than its 'cause'.
Since we humans are 'personal beings', possessing mind, will, capacity for emotion ( such as love ), and unique identity, then these attributes must also exists ( albeit in superlative degree ) in the God Who Created the universe - and us!
Almighty God, the Creator of all things both visible and invisible is a Personal Being and He created us as personal beings - in His image.
Conclusion : Creationism is not the "silly idea". In fact the shoe is on the other foot - Spontaneous Generation is the silly idea!
      The Bible clearly states :
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." [Genesis 1:1]
Any world view that cannot explain our origin, purpose, morality and destiny is bankrupt.
Science is merely a useful tool for exploring the physical laws of the material universe. It never has and never will explain the origin of the universe and us, why we are here, how we are to conduct ourselves while here on earth, and where we are going after we die.
The Bible explains all these things perfectly. I urge you to read it. I urge you to turn to Christ Jesus. Repent of your sinful rebellion, and find saving faith in Christ Jesus.
