HUGE lesson in self-worth: the original lesson was 30 yrs. ago, the most recent situation, slightly similar person drew me in. It was a test from the Universe, a reminder of that lesson then, vs. now and how to respond differently now, in order to have a different outcome and in order to have what is best for ME. MY personal peace is worth so much more than the rollercoaster this person was offering me and I refused to stay on the ride! When you show up authentically, those who are pretending, can't take it.

Spot on. It’s been almost a year of healing. I still haven’t quite let go because I will love her eternally. I just couldn’t withstand the pain anymore. I needed to show myself love and release the relationship. I feel like I would have done anything for her, but to what end, me losing me?
That decision was probably the most love I have ever shown to myself, even though it hurt so much. I wish nothing but the best for her and I hope we find each other again in this life, God willing.
