The original doesn’t really feel like a seventeen choreography. It’s just not really powerful and it’s more trendy? I love the final choreo tho, and the parts seventeen kept in the final are really cool.

The fact that there were a lot of changes means SVT are really hands on with the art/music they make. The final choreo is actually better because it has intense steps related to the music. It just flows well with the song. I'm so proud to be a carat!

man, normally I don't ever comment but as a dancer myself im so disappointed in the comments. We Dem Boyz are a well respected dance crew who have choreographed for years. Choreographing is by no means easy, especially for Kpop groups since there's so much to consider. From a dancers view, the demo is powerful, including fundamental things like groove, foundations, etc. that is often missing from Kpop dances. It also looks super fun to do. I do love seeing how SVT did add their own flare to the choreo and owned it. Like Hoshi's solo is *chef kiss*, I have huge respect for them as dancers.
Most Kpop dances are made from two demos, taking what they like from both to make one dance. Its not that the rest is bad, its simply what suits the vibe the group going for. This choreo demo is more hiphop based, not the more popular option of commercialised hiphop in Kpop (which isn't bad either).
You don't have to like the original, but please be respectful of the choreographers who put a lot of effort into the dance! I personally love the final version most too:)

Yeah, it's just that the most of the people here don't know much about dance or study it at all. I'm a dancer. So everything you just said I already knew, you're speaking facts, and I agree. Most people here never has made a dance video let alone performed before. And that's no hate to them but uhh yeah. You're expectations have to be low and just educate everyone.

What you said is so true honestly, it's really easy for people to make a bad comment about others, meanwhile those are the same people that can't even do a basic dance step! Like we need to understand how hard it is for these choreographers, and how much effort they put into all this just for a 3-4 minute video. I really respect and appreciate their hardwork :)

I’m glad they took the best parts from the original choreo and only added them to the final version. The final version is definitely better and screams about the impact of seventeen. The original one feels messy somehow and yet still not that powerful. It’s kinda more chill and doesn’t really suit the song which is loud and builds up even more throughout.

The original choreo is good, but perhaps for a different song in the future. The final product just screams Seventeen and I love that they really incorporated their own style and unmistakable flavor into the song, with great emphasis on each member’s strength and, of course, their main point - synchronization. It wouldve been hard to see how synced they are with the original choreo, when thats sth that theyve always liked to emphasize and pretty much is what theyre known for. Either way, they took the best parts and im pretty sure Hoshi and Dino took care of the rest! And that’s what makes them so amazing 💖💖💖

    • @himynameisash8

In the album, Team Same are listed as the other choreographers for the song. They've worked with Seventeen for years so that explains, at least to me, why a huge chunk of this choreo was changed. Working with a group for years you probably gain a very good understanding of what they want with their performances, so we need to give a lot of credit to Team Same for essentially making the final version of the choreo!

  • @maeem6243
    @maeem6243 2 года назад +526

Actually, the original was pretty good, I especially liked the opening. I like the hiphop vibe it was giving (would love to see seventeen have a choreo like this in the future!)
But seventeen really knows how to make dances fully their own. They changed certain dance points that go super well with the song which makes it feel more complete as a choreo.

The original is great, but for the most part, it is a bit too underwhelming (especially for a large group like SEVENTEEN where these many members can be utilised to make it more dynamic). Like, it just looks like a bunch of people vibing. The final version tho, I’m obsessed with it!

I've never seen the original vs final version of any group's choreography before so it's really interesting to see what kind of changes it went through. I can't help but think that some of the changes were made to allow Seventeen to sing a bit easier since in the final version there's less of those large movements while still having a lot of impact. I also feel like the final version uses the stage better as they’re not always in the centre. All that being said, I think that both routines are really great, but in my opinion the final version is more appropriate for a group that's singing in addition to dancing. Also, they are performing multiple songs at a time so being able to pace themselves through the choreography is important too. Thanks for sharing this comparison!

I'm not a professional dancer and I don't really know how to dance. I'm Carat and obviously I really like the final choreography, because in this one, SEVENTEEN put not only dance steps, but also their own stamp. They have their own style and it shows in the choreography that was finally presented. On the other hand, professional dancers are something else, but their style is more of a group, because it is not necessary for us to identify the song of each one of them.
I respect the work of both and I liked the two choreographies a lot. Either way, SEVENTEEN will always be my weakness and will have my full support.

For people who love the final version most (including myself) you most likely have Team Same to thank for that. They're once again listed as a choreographer in the album notes, and you can really see their hand in this. Plus they've worked with SVT for years, they know what suits SVT best. Though I do think some other elements of the original could've stayed, but I can understand why they didn't

Demo was suited for few-membered group with backup dancers. Most of their choreography was executed with one or three members which is exactly how few-membered groups do. However, SVT has 13 members and also they have to dance together in order to shine entirely. That's why our final choreography feels so powerful. They're not backup dancers. They are all singers who can dance.
Also, SVT included some feminine essence to their final choreography, which is their unique nametag throughout the years, which makes this choreo even hotter.
These are the two main difference between these versions. SVT know themselves so well. Original was cool indeed. But the final result has SVT-ish soul.

I like the demo, it feels like it has a lot of swag to it. I was low key kind of expecting a dance battle to break out and I don't know that recordings manage to capture the essence of this style of dancing.
I do, however, also appreciate what Seventeen did with it, it feels very authentic and fun, while still drawing from a lot of really great elements in the demo. Also, I found the formations amazing and I think they in particular translated well.
With so many dancers, choreographing anything this high energy must be really challenging. As different as the two versions are, they are both amazing.

Even in the parts they kept the same(like the clapping at the first pre-chorus), they did what is almost a signature for them: working with levels. There's people standing up, and there's people crouching while they're clapping and walking. They really play with the leveling, once SEVENTEEN is a really big group, and put them as only one massive block wouldn't be a good choice to keep for the whole music. They're so good!

I get people have opinions but the amount of people trying to be “dance connoisseurs” and downplay the demo choreo when most probably don’t understand much about dance to begin with is crazy. Seventeen’s choreography AND the original demo choreo were BOTH amazing. Seventeen’s very aggressive with their choreography and I bet the dance line and everyone else were just itching to put their own flare on the song by changing out some dance sections but the demo was definitely a great outline for how the choreography should turn out. Please don’t downplay the original choreography just because a group is your fav
Also I LOVED how in the original choreo they really captured the “Old West feel” of the song and I wish seventeen would’ve did some of that by keeping the symbolisms for the Saloon doors from the beginning of the dance.

Well both versions are great but what made the final version stand out is because it matches with seventeen's styles of chaorgraphy. What I mean is if you follow Seventeen 's chaorgraphy you will realize that every dance they do must be somehow connected to the lyrics or the title of the song, like this song is called Hot so when they were dancing the hot part their moves carried a vibe that shows that their feeling hot. They touched their bodies when dancing that part which the first version don't have. If you want to get clearly what am saying you should watch their other chaorgraphy videos like Home there's a point were they do a home sign/\ when singing "cause am your home" and Thank you video,Don't wanna cry and so many others you just watch them you will get ma point but even the first version is good

i really love how svt made it 'more' perfect. the original version was just fine and svt just took the best parts on the orig version and made it more perfect and put svt vibe on it.

I like them both! I think the final version works well because it takes into account that you have to smooth it out a bit so these people can also sing live.

I love the final choreo a lot! The demo does fit the dancers tho, they have a type of swag that only professional dancers got. But the final choreo suits svt amazing

I agree with the majority that the final version perfectly describes svt more than the original but im kinda surprised they didn’t incorporate the saloon doors on the first part especially since its very iconic in the wild west concept. I have to admit that it was a pretty creative idea and actually fits svt based on their past choreos where they usually have objects, nature, animals (even sign language)whatsoever hidden subtly behind their steps(falling flower choreo itself, the lamppost step in DWC, videogames step in Home are just some of the examples).

The original one it's really good but I feel like it would've been better for an online concert or a music show, considering it plays more with the camera than the final one

Some parts of the original were better, some parts of the final were better. Both had different vibes and I'm glad they kept some best parts in the final. Honestly if you ask me, I loved both of them.

You can really see where the original put in a lot of care into the choreography but I still like the final one,the original would have svt jumping around a lot and they probably wouldn’t be able to sing with stable voices.I like both of them they’re very creative 💎😁

i saw somewhere that the original choreography was much more hip hop based and relied more on swagger, whereas kpop choreographies have a sort of uniform but also need more power. so it's no surprise that they changed them tbh.
