    I believe that one is SS-19 stiletto.
    weight- 105.6 tonnes
    payload- 6 mirv warheads
    warhead- 500 to 750 kt each
    propulsion- 3 stage liquid fuel
    range- 10,000 km
    status- operational since 1980

  • @bombarderoazul

    People say some of these missiles are old and useless, and yet from time to time Russia test this missiles and fires them to test them, even after 20 years this missiles work perfectly a testament to russian ingenuity.

    The ones that burn clean use liquid fuel, a propellant and an oxidiser. the ones that make a lot of smoke and flame use solid fuel, they are more violent. Just look at the last one TOPOL M, when the engine ignites, it makes a huge ball of fire. You don't want to be near that thing when it takes off.

  • @pogularocky
    @pogularocky 14 лет назад

    @geekgeneration
    I am sure they must have tested them with their own ICBMs.
    Electronics are the same In US and Russia. They have the same micro-controllers, circuit boards and communication links hardware; just designed and executed differently. If you can jam an American ICBM and burn it's comm. chip, you can do it to a Russian ICBM too.

    1:25 i know it's a weapon of mass destruction but seeing that thing rise cleanly out of the tube....then you see a huge flash of fire...then it looks like it's stalled and gonna just drop back down...then it coughs back into life.....it's beautiful

    The second missile that you see being launched is a ss-24 scalpel missile & is the most feared second only to the ss-18.the ss-24 is carrying 10 550 kiloton warheads.

  • @bombarderoazul
    @bombarderoazul 12 лет назад

    @AbstergoView yes they could, in fact a few of these missiles have been converted to launch satelites into orbit. But usually they are designed to go into outer space and then plunge down back to earth at hypersonic speeds with their nuclear bombs. That's why these missiles can reach the other side of the world in 20 to 30 minutes from launch.

  • @bombarderoazul
    @bombarderoazul 15 лет назад

    I think those are small explosives designed to keep the missile from faling to the side. They keep the missile pointing straight up until the main rocket engine ignites.

    @swah555 It's not a error, it's automatic regular maneuver - tilt the missile to avoid exhaust fire-tongue to damage the train by pointing directly on it.

  • @bombarderoazul
    @bombarderoazul 11 лет назад

    Those rockets use hypergolic liquid fuels, the fuels used are so combustible, that they ignite once they touch each other, they produce little smoke. The other rockets use solid fuel which make a lot of smoke.

  • @bombarderoazul
    @bombarderoazul 12 лет назад

    The only ICBM missing in this video is the RS-24 yars, which entered service in 2010. But it's similar to Topol M, except it carries ten warheads.

  • @TheGoodChap

    Yeah the same thing happened in the Georgia Russia war (which lasted only a few days). For some unknown reason we (USA) were backing the Georgians(?) who were a dictatorship and directly provoking Russia. The Georgians started war by launching rocket attacks into a civilian hospital in South Ossetia. Russia quickly engaged and the war was over in a few days despite the Georgians being trained in US military tactics with modern weapons and outnumbering the dispatched RU force by nearly twice.

    @subzyro5 But they will usually be overwhelmed with multiple targets,it's meant to intercept small threats from Iran and North Korea,not a fully fledged nuclear conflict.Plus the computing power required for effective firing solutions means only one missile can be shot down at any one time.

    @FrostbitexP You don't seem to understand one thing, nothing moves faster than light. Once Anti- Missile lasers enter mass production as soon as a launch is detected it can be shot down. In fact the key is to shoot the missile down during the slow, initial launch phase. Other technology exist for shooting down warheads already on their way though is less guaranteed.

    just to be clear i am an American of different races.
    and right now i am pretty sure Russian and the USA are really good allies at the moment. what the US is really worried about is North Korea missiles. our most destructive missile has a power of blowing anything within 40-50 miles of the impact zone to smithereens!!! but we don't worry. by the way i love all races especially Russian. i love you guys language and accents. it so awesome.

    The US never really fought a big battle against japanese army, they fought mostly in the islands as they advanced to Japan, the russians however launched a massive offensive in late 1945, where they practically destroyed the japanese in manchurria, this was one of the reasons for japan to surrender as well as the american atomic bombs. I think the russians should be credited for winning WW2 as well, americans need to stop saying that they won world war two.

    we did buy much oil from kuwait but we had a signed alliance with them, we were obligated by that to invade in the 90s, ive mets people from those areas too, they enjoy the americans there. they dont like when we have to remove them from their houses and their family gets caught up in cross fire, but we supply and protect them for the most part. remember we are not at war with iraq or afghanistan we are in cooperation with their governments, as for korea i agree

    I was talking about world war two in general, the russians fought very hard in the eastern front, The only hard battle you fought was the battle of the bulge, Russia on the other hand fought many hard battles on the eastern front. They deserve a lot recognition for this, in american television most war documentaries are about the US and world war two, very is little is said about other countries. To me that is being arrogant and disrespectful to millions of other foreign soldiers
