Great to see you, Summer! Sounds like you have some good reading going on! I’ve only seen Silo on TV, not read Wool or the others on the trilogy. Hope you have a great March!

Thank you so much! After I read The Silo trilogy I plan to watch it. I’m curious about how different they will be from each other. I hope you enjoy whatever you’re reading or watching 😊

Ok I can't be the only one wondering what has you so happily distracted ??? So nice to see you smiling. For March of the Mammoths I'm trying to tackle "A Suitable Boy" but am already about 100 pages behind... slow and steady wins the race I suppose.

I’m behind on it too Karen. 😊

Karen 🤗 it’s actually a who but I’m guessing you figured that. Thank you. I’ve been wanting to read A Suitable Boy. Let me know how you like it.

Salutations Summer, I hoping to read Sacred Games for my mammoth this year, and hopeful a bunch of mysteries interspersed throughout. I had a slow February reading wise too, March usually turns it around for me. Go well.

Hi Summer great to hear from you! I’ve never read Chuck Palanik either thinking they weren’t for me. I recently read The Wager all about ocean adventures and I’ve read Moby Dick but something about being trapped on a boat in the middle of the ocean is very offsetting for me.

Salutations Lindsey! Thank you 😊 The Wager is on my list for reading someday. Yes, oceans are beautiful yet terrifying to me.

I just picked up Byzantium by Stephen R Lawhead for my second Mammoth. I read Way of Kings and really enjoyed it! Intriguing pile you have! 😄♥️

I really enjoyed Way of Kings but I thought Words of Radiance and Oathbringer were even better 😊

I doubt I will ever tackle _Moby Dick._ I haven’t like the author’s short stories enough.
Having a life outside of books always makes a good excuse for “failing” one’s goals. I’m making progress on things I’m reading, but at about 1/4th the pace that I would like.
I can sit and do nothing as well as any cat, and must remind myself that I _like_ it and not worry so much about goals.

Yes, I’m the same about sitting and doing nothing 🐈‍⬛🐈 Thank you David!

Happily distracted is certainly a great deal better than the alternative.
Visual Intelligence sounds interesting! I haven't read any of the things you are working on, though I did enjoy the movie of Cold Mountain - though I hear the book is better.
Oh I have read and enjoyed Choke, he definitely mixes that satirical humor while giving a gut punch in a lot of his work.

Salutations Rebecca! Gut punch is a perfect description of his writing 😊🐈‍⬛❤️

Hey Summer! I had a lot of fun with Wool, it's not the most ground breaking stuff but it was a real page turner. I love Jack Vance but I think I'm in the minority in that I prefer his Lyonness fantasy books better than Dying Earth. I'm reading Shogun for mammoths.

I’ve heard great things about Shogun. I hope you enjoy it. I haven’t read much Science Fiction so a lot of the ideas are new to me. 😊

I really don't think Moby Dick is for a lot of folks. It is both fiction and non-fiction. While telling the story of the whalers hunting whales and quest for the great white whale there are many non-fictional chapters devoted to explaining whale types and the processing of dead whales. I think if you skipped those then the amazing quest is excellent to read. My Mammoth is A Column of Fire. Good to see you and glad you are happy. :) Thanks for the video.

Thank you so much Jo 😊 I loved A Column of Fire. I hope you enjoy it. I’m looking forward to reading the final book in The Kingsbridge series. At least I think it’s the final book.

I'm also not a Moby Dick fan... I don't like pirate novels or whaler stories! I read Cold Mountain years ago. I liked it then but my values were a lot different at that time. The only "mammoth" I'm reading this year is Les Miserables, 1456 pages, but I started that in January.

I absolutely loved Les Miserables. It is a favorite of mine. I look forward to hearing what you think about it 😊

    Moby Dick isn’t about pirates.
