This looks like it will become a very natural looking pond. I’m looking forward to seeing it be created!
The 250 is a pretty awesome machine, but the 220 is no slouch,,,,,,, it was ripping roots that looked to be 10” or better and then hauled some pretty sizeable stumps out the ground!! The operator may have had a hand in the work too,,,, but hey, somebody has to drive the thing I guess!
Hahaha. As always Chris, you just start to working and then all of a sudden it really starts to look like something!
    Thanks for sharing!

Have you ever ran into a sand or rock vein if so what do you do?

#1 reason for leaving the stumps and other tree debris is for erosion control, the other reason is too give work for others to make a living. also if they ( the loggers ) were to clean up the land it would add more cost to the price of land and the profit to the owner would be smaller when parceled out.

"leaving the stumps and other tree debris is for erosion control, the other reason is too give work for others to make a living. "
It's like saying,.. "now I have to dig a pond. The loggers always leave dirt where the pond is supposed to be." 😉

Right, 65% of the country is threatened by drought so there should be ponds everywhere to keep the water when there is some rain. Of course, it is a whole science to keep the water in ponds crystal clear. But thanks to youtube tutorials there are videos that produce relief.
