It gives "undefined array key" right after I try to save the value of the post request in php portion.

check if the name in the username and password match with the get or post part and enter your details before clicking on login. I had the problem too. Worked it out. Maybe it might work for you too. Lemme know if it works 👍

It's because username and password are set after you send form. You can check first if those are set with isset() and then echo them
