I would worry about the laminate in an area that gets kicked a lot. It could wear too quickly. Perhaps a thin aluminum cover over that area instead that would match the lip detail. Looking forward to seeing what you are doing with the floor, hopefully next week!
Yeah my current van has nothing but hte factory paint and it hastn really chipped and since its an easy piece to remove if I need to recover it with something else thats easy to handle.
Scott - great video! Thanks. I too have the Vanlife Tech heating system (DIY). I went with 2tec2 woven vinyl flooring and about to install. What did you use for the metal span that you used rivnuts to attach the 1/2” baltic birch? And how did you secure it to the subfloor multi-layer build up? I was thinking aluminum sheet metal. But curious to your solution.
great content but horrible work with the audio. Your "talking takes" sound pretty low, so I naturally turn up the volume, then you change to a take blasting music 200%. No ears can take that
enjoyed the video but music was 4x louder than the talking so i had to keep changing the volume
My bad! Sorry ill keep an eye on that
Nice update, thanks for your info and progress. I must say though, the music to audio difference is maddening :)
Noted!
Good morning Scott

Never mind. That’s the van metal itself. 🤦🏼♂️ I have a Promaster so it didn’t look familiar.
Hi it’s coming nice together, for the cabinets the 80/20 is that 20x20 mm ?
Im using 30mm and some 40mm
Hey Scott what are you using for the heat system in the floor?
The vanlife tech system
slow wins the race .
I hope so
Is it just not worth the effort to insulate the entrance step?
Yeah not for me.
RIP headphone users
My fault Ill get that fixed for the next one
