This is my first time i saw this channel and when I looked at the comments before actually listening to his cover, I thought you were just exaggerating with saying how he reached Animenz tier. After listening to it i can fully agree, he is an insanely good pianist at the point where i get goosebumps at some parts. Sadly he is underrated.
fruit, if you haven't heard Demon Slayer's newest opening "Zankyosanka" by Aimer I suggest giving it a listen. I think your style would do a great job capturing the rhythm and energy of the song.
Uh WHAT You've actually stunned me with this arrangement, it's my favorite of yours yet! Impeccable rhythm (which is critical for this song in particular) as well as a more cohesive rhythmic structure that works well as a cover of the piece! Not that I know why it works, but just that it does lmao! ALSO I HEAR A LOT OF INSPIRATION FROM ANIMENZ AND I LOVE IT The chain of scales/arpeggios starting at 4:02 was AWESOME to hear and reminded me IMMEDIATELY of Animenz's Kawaki wo Ameku arrangement (at 3:28).... *might it be inspired from there? :3* My only advice for future arrangements is an incorporation of silence/extended pauses/slowed tempo at certain points (transitions), which Animenz likes to use to create contrast and almost as if he's taking a "slow breath" (i realize it may not be fitting for this cover though, which is really upbeat the whole time). I've definitely noticed that a lot of flashy techniques/transitions no longer feel out of place as they sometimes were in ur previous arrangements, because they all feel like they have purpose with exactly where u put them and how u executed each one! There's too many good transitions that flow perfectly for me to bring up a specific one this time haha. I know I leave a positive comment whenever I have time, but this is the first time I was actually this amazed! I can genuinely see that your arranging skill has taken another leap forward. WOOOO FRUIT TAKE MY ENCOURAGEMENT AND I HOPE U HAVE A WONDERFUL WINTER BREAK!!!
oh wo big comment thank you, but yea i was practicing kawaki wo ameku along with ballade for the past 2 months. I originally did include a pause at the key change to the G major section, but then promptly decided to just make it a transition phrase which sounded better(i think). i wish i could have inserted a quieter section besides just that one but i couldnt find anywhere where it would fit rip. the second part of the ending is actually a theme based on the first two notes of the chorus. half the reason i was even able to arrange the song like this was due to the original song itself being quite upbeat(it is also 130 bpm like crying for rain lolol). a lot of inspiration was used too yes.

Watched this together with a friend, and our favorite parts were definitely 2:00 and 4:02. Your arranging skills are just out of this world, pretty sure I had my jaw drop at 0:21 and just hang there for the rest of the video haha. Loved the syncopation and various rhythms, and honestly, I'm just flat out blown away. Crazy stuff man

I recently started learning this (day 4, ~1-2h a day so far) after having not learned nor played anything remotely as difficult for almost 10 years. As soon as I tried playing 0:20 at tempo, I realized just how much time I would need to invest into this piece and regaining stamina/technique. For now, my goal is probably going to be to play this at half tempo within a couple months because it'll probably take more time for my decrepit hands to get used to playing at speed. Seriously, though, thanks for this amazing arrangement. I'm also learning your "Why I gave up on music," which I'm finding more manageable.

yea, i tried combining those type of runs with the first 2 notes of the chorus main theme. I originally included the repeat of the verse bridge section for the ending since that is what the original song uses, but I changed it since it sounded too repetitive

have anybody noticed the whole arrangement sounds like animenz's kawaki wo ameku (0:36 left hand pattern, 1:17 right hand, 2:00 right hand ornaments, 2:28 high registers 3:34 right hand pattern exactly similar to the one in kawaki wo ameku, 3:38 transition, 4:02 runs, 4:15 transition and the right hand pattern) man actually learned how to animenz
I've finally been able to find time to properly listen to this wonderful arrangement after 3 days. It's very obvious a lot of thought has been put into the arrangement and I love the little variations here and there. The originality and difficulty level is also mind-blowing, sounds like an Animenz arrangement (you even have the same VST as him if I recall correctly?) with the three-hand techniques and runs. (Maybe it's just me but I hear a lot of Animenz's Kawaki wo Ameku in here as well XD) Can't wait to see you explode in popularity!

MAN i just keep coming back to this cover... i think the adjustments to the arrangement that you made do a lot to speak of your interpretation of the song!! i've heard that the piano is a really transparent instrument and that it's the way you play it that's supposed to color how it sounds, and i think that's really clear with the way you do arrangements. there's a lonely kind of warmth in the key changes that you made, while transforming that notorious dissonant upbeat-ness of the original piece to something more grand and bittersweet. which really elevates this cover beyond just being a 1:1 of the original song!! man the outro hits so hard with the way you build up tension in it. big agree with the rest of the comment section that you're criminally underrated, keep it up :] also random question, what is that orb that's always in your videos?

have anybody noticed the whole arrangement sounds like animenz's kawaki wo ameku (0:36 left hand pattern, 1:17 right hand, 2:00 right hand ornaments, 2:28 high registers 3:34 right hand pattern exactly similar to the one in kawaki wo ameku, 3:38 transition, 4:02 runs, 4:15 transition and the right hand pattern)

I've finally been able to find time to properly listen to this wonderful arrangement after 3 days.
It's very obvious a lot of thought has been put into the arrangement and I love the little variations here and there. The originality and difficulty level is also mind-blowing, sounds like an Animenz arrangement (you even have the same VST as him if I recall correctly?) with the three-hand techniques and runs.
(Maybe it's just me but I hear a lot of Animenz's Kawaki wo Ameku in here as well XD)

It takes me a while to actually find a song to arrange, like 95% of songs don't end up working as arrangements for some reason. I have the next video coming soon though.
MAN i just keep coming back to this cover... i think the adjustments to the arrangement that you made do a lot to speak of your interpretation of the song!! i've heard that the piano is a really transparent instrument and that it's the way you play it that's supposed to color how it sounds, and i think that's really clear with the way you do arrangements. there's a lonely kind of warmth in the key changes that you made, while transforming that notorious dissonant upbeat-ness of the original piece to something more grand and bittersweet. which really elevates this cover beyond just being a 1:1 of the original song!! man the outro hits so hard with the way you build up tension in it. big agree with the rest of the comment section that you're criminally underrated, keep it up :]
