More or less yes, although I’m sure many of them would hardly endorse everything he believed/wrote.

Do you keep the Sabbath, Rev? eat pork or shellfish? if you don't obey the entirety of the law then you must consider it "sub-gospel" as well. stop attacking Christians who have moved on beyond YEC into a rational faith.

This is a ridiculous thing to say. God becoming a man to die for our sins is offensive to human reason. If you want a rational faith (as in, a faith acceptable to human reason) you'll have to reject the Gospel.
Thanks be to God that his foolishness is higher than the wisdom of men.
BTW, the pork and shellfish thing betrays ridiculous levels of biblical illiteracy. There's still time to delete this bro. Or just read Acts.

@@XunilT "If you want a rational faith (as in, a faith acceptable to human reason) you'll have to reject the Gospel"
this is one of the worst things I have ever heard a pastor say, truly. You are setting a stumbling block before others and with such a ridiculously wrong teaching at that. GOD IS REASON! do you know what Logos means? God didn't only create the bible - He made the natural world as well as human rationality as a reflection of His own. if you want to turn away from rationality and the natural world He created, that's on you. I truly hope you repent of this false teaching and vitriolic response.
So does that mean Acts thinks the law is "sub-gospel"? No it, is interpreting the law in moral not legalistic terms because the law is written on our hearts. But I guess Paul's guilty of aNtI-nOmIaNiSm. lol

Indeed God has given us reason and natural knowledge. At the same time, God has and continues to work miracles that contradict human reason. This is why we usually make a distinction between magisterial and ministerial uses of reason. We dare not impose our own natural knowledge over and against divine knowledge. But we do often use reason to support and explain both scripture and the created world.

@@rantingcullinarian I agree with all of that but it doesn't do anything to disprove that Gen 1 is allegorical or the massive amount of scientific data proving an old earth. The Bible is full of allegory and parable, sometimes explicitly referred to as such and sometimes not. Both of our choice interpretations of Gen 1 are based in reasoning but mine includes scientific observative of God's creation along with analysis of the text. Either way, to say that rejecting YEC amounts to rejecting the gospel is false and places a stumbling block before Christians that are exploring God's creation which we are encouraged to do in Romans 1. The Rev in the video is a legalist making up fake rules to scare his congregants into not challenging his beliefs just like the Judaizers Paul fought against.
