    You should put a jumper wire to the bottom strand is energiized

    Awesome setup ! I thought the same things as you I wanted to grow and save my own sweet corn seeds until I grew about 5 or so different O.P. sweet corn and was disappointed every time with the sweetness . For me the O.P. sweet corn wasn't much sweeter than my dent corn that I can pick in the milk stage and eat . The farmer knocked down a few stalks of his field corn in the milk stage I had to try it lol it wasn't too bad tasting . After eating it I thought shit he sprayed all kinds of junk on there lol .       Did you try the KS Dauman? I had similar experiences with OP as you say, and also lots of worms. The only issue I've had with this corn is some "smut" on some ears... but it is very sweet, really tasty. Here is the link: www.rareseeds.com/corn-damaun-ks-super-sweet

      @@lambsquartersfarm Thank you . I will get some seeds for next year . My last planting of sweet corn was with synergistic sweet corn which is really good .
