Yeah that's the direct translation but I think it's the swedish version of Jailbird. Especially since the song is about prisoners setting themself free.
@@AkumaUnicornPorn I'm swedish and I've never heard anyone say that. To me the title is about planes. Some of the lyrics suggest that it is but I gotta admit I'm a bit confused 😁
@@shirrepoffer I'm swedish aswell and I've never heard the term Stålfågel before so I only had a guess of what it could be. But I think you might be right about the planes.
Awesome guys, and awesome sweaters as well! Soilwork and Björn Stridh was one of the first metal bands I ever listened to since I am Swedish. They are still making awesome music as we can see 😊 Should definitely react to more Soilwork haha 😊 Looking forward for the “death, come near me” reaction guys! Cheers, William
Back from the christmas vacation. Nine days well spent in Portugal, in the town of Tomar and in the city of Coimbra. Not pleased to be back in cold and dark Finland, but i'll bet used to it, once again. And thanks for you guys for another good reaction video.
One of my 3 favorite songs of the year. You're wrong about one thing. He isn't one of the best metal vocalists, he is THE best metal vocalist period. You should google a list of all of the other bands that feature his vocals on their songs. The list is overwhelmingly long. A couple that you should absolutely check out and I know I've recommended them before are The Great Pandemonium by Kamelot and Celestial Furnace by Disarmonia Mundi.
I lost all my songs a short while back but I am slowly getting them back. Thanks for mentioning Kamelot! I could remember the melody to Ghost Opera but could not for the life of me remember the name of the song or band until you mention them. Cheers!
Merry Christless guys! On these days I'm celebrating the life of our lord Lemmy Kilmister. I encourage every metalhead on the planet to do the same. It's much more fun. Believe me. \m/ Btw, you guys are great! I love your channel! Stay metal! \m/
The video and spotify version don't appear to have her parts on it. When you hear the album version you'll understand. It sounds like her in some of the backing vocals on this version, but her part is much more prominent. She adds a couple little flares and harmonies as well.
@@rushzil2112 eyy it's the Soilwork request guy haha hello! well, I can hear her a lot, but yes in the background. but if what you say is true, it should be interesting. How did you hear the album version?
I went back and listened to all 3 versions. You'll definitely hear the difference. I was listening to the album and it caught me off guard. I don't know why they didn't have that be the video version. But, if you notice, they don't say featuring her on the youtube or spotify single version. There's no mention of her in the description.
@@rushzil2112 it's not released yet though, is it? I saw her name on Spotify for it though, not as 'featuring' in the song title, but as a writing credit. But I didn't notice a difference. But there's no album there either.
Absolutely loving the Christmas sweaters guys. Too good. You wanna know what else is good? ... checking out Sealed in Fate by Orpheus Omega, that’s what. Stay Brutal \m/
Try this one! "Hamferđ - Hon Syndrast" This is a really dark doom metal band from the small country of Faroe Island. The lyrics is in an old norse language, that rarely exists anymore other than the few people living on these viking islands speaking it. This for sure will be something you have never done before :)
Not sure how I feel about the new songs, I think they will grow on me with every listen, this one has been the best so far. The production makes the songs feel a bit soft though, like a mix between The Panic Broadcast album and The Night Flight Orchestra.
Hey guys I love your videos..too bad most Peruvians don't appreciate metal music as they prefer the cumbia shit which sounds very very cheap by the way..greetings from Lima Peru
Bjorn Strid and Christian Älvestam both have beautiful clean and harsh vocals. By far the best singers in Melodic Death Metal in my opinion.
It is a shame that Christian has trouble reproducing his vocals live.
@@Audard And Strid has the same problem from time to time, unfortunately.
Killswitch and the Unguided would like to talk to you. rofl
Strange that you got the Ä in Älvestra and not the ö in Björn Strid.
This song has really grown on me, I love it now and listen to it repeatedly.
Been addicted to this song since i heard it two days ago.
Stålfågel means steel bird
Bra låt dock!

I did. not know them so far.
Saw them a few days ago in Berlin.
Now I am a really hiuuuuge fan!
Thank you for this very nice reaction.
merry Christmas metal community stay Metal \m/

I highly recommend Cold Seed - Reflection . It a great display of how good Bjorn is outside Soilwork !
in studio: yes, on stage: no
You got that right. He is THE best metal vocalist right now. He can do sooooo much its ridiculous.
Audard the best metal vocalist is Russell allen
You guys need to do "Father and Son Watching the World Go Down" by Soilwork. It will blow you both away.
You are right
Sweden have alot of good bands , do a reaction to entombed "chief rebel angel".
You guys are awesome. Love from Denmark.
One of best Christmas gift!😁...and there, this is what i meant when i said “Garbage song” quoting IF new stuff, the bar has been set by Soilwork

Guys! Alissa White-Gluz is on this track...I thought some of the harsh vocals sounded a bit different haha makes sense now.
I realize that afterwards.

This song is fukin' beautiful, man. Soilwork is fukin' beautiful. Just... stay onboard man. I don't know what else to say.
Kamelot - Memento Mori
There is an other version of this song were you can hear Alissa sing with clean vocals in the background. I actually think I like that version better
Awesome!!
SOILWORK! `(^o^)'
can't wait for the new album
also
where can i get those sweaters? XD
seriously, where? :D
We got them on Amazon
Björn is a fucking god.
Guys do The song Gemini by The Night flight orchestra.
Same singer and guitarist but its 80s style rock .
This song is so catchy. I have all of the Night Flight albums and this song definitely stands out among the best.
the å is effectively just an o like in English word "oh". so [stoolfoogl] approx
Å / å is pronounced a bit like how you say the o in words like goat and boat.
Here's one for you soilwork let this river flow live with floor janson
Crimson rider. Masterplan. Power metal in a bottle!
take a look at "weightless" from "the elite"
it's a short harder animated video
i think you will like it :)

What did you call this song? "Snoffelwhappelous"? 🤣
Something like that! 😁😁😁
Stålfågel means SteelBird =)

"snuffolopolis" lol
JESUS KID PUBERTY HIT YOU LIKE A TRUCK
Wow. Soilwork have really mellowed.
You follow Satan and you are not gonna like where he leads you.
