Kamakura, Japan. Specifically throughout the hiking course had a very Studio Ghibli fairy tale vibe. The incense coming from the cemeteries mixed in with the earthy moss scent. It was pretty otherworldly.
Very nice quality of showing Budapest and the magic of being here (there). When seeing videos like this, I am always reminded that I must absolutely appreciate how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place, including its faults and not so friendly neighbourhoods, of course. As a Hungarian i really appreciate these lovely words. I love that i am Hungarian ( and i born and live in Budapest), and that i can still learn new thing about my country history and about my ancestors life. Did you know that Budapest got the second oldest metro line in the world, which was built in 1894 to 1896 and it was also built for the 1000th anniversary of Hungary.

Hi Eileen! I study in Budapest, I am Hungarian, too. I just wanted to say how good this video is! You really did a great job! Wish you many many viewers and likes
The best video I have seen about Budapest - you captured the history, tragedies and united efforts alike so well. If ever you come this way again, venture outside Budapest into the little gem towns and countryside, too. You will always be welcome here!
I left Hungary after the revolution in 56. Escaped to Jugoslavia, I was about 13 years old and I am amaized how beautiful it is still and the changes that are different with fast food and people speaking English. I was born in Kalocsa which is also a great small city, Cardinal Mincenti’s home and gardens. There are so many beautiful places in Hungary, like Eger which was under Turkis influence, the last time I was there they stil had the Minarets and also have a cave swimming pool and inside the mountain they had classical gay Ipsy music that was just amazing. The acoustics inside that mountain was the best. You might explore some more of the small cities and Lake Balaton are. My son was born in Chicago ant hope to visit him in Omaha for the holidays and I can’t wait to show him your videos. Good luck and make more fantastic videos from Hungary.
Wow, thank you for sharing your story! We'd love to return to Hungary and explore more of the country for sure. Chicago is one of my favourite cities in the US - hope you're able to enjoy Christmas together this year :)
Thank you for coming here and sharing your experiences! My heart always smiles when I read or hear anyone appreciating my country. I'm glad you had a quality time, the people of Hungary are always kind to those who are kind to them! Stay safe and come again! :) cheers!
Awesome video!!! Thanks a lot for sharing!!! One can feel the Canadian spirit in it and what a better way to experience a city than through the open-minded perspective of Canadian eyes.
Being a Hungarian i still found your video absolutely fascinating! And your commentaries are so sweet and thoughtful. Thank you for preparing such a nice little video
What an effective and informative video! Beautifully summarizes the key highlights of Budapest, and very accurately depicts the energy of the city! I loved It!
Very good video about Budapest. I've been to Hungary dozens of times since the 70s as most of my family lives there. I go almost every year and know this city better than any place in the world. My spouse and kids love going to Budapest and you have captured many of the places that we have visited - and should be visited. My wife and I got married at the church in Vajdahunyad var and had the reception next door. By the way, the little red pots your gulyas was served in can be found in the basement of the market hall. You provide a very concise summary of a city which has so much to offer. I am looking forward to viewing your other videos. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, this is one of the best videos of Budapest I've ever seen! You are on my short list of favorite RUclipsrs. Coming in from the airport into the city I knew I had arrived when I saw Hero Square at night.
Best video I watched about Budapest. I am going to visit it next January, so I watched loads of videos and I was not expecting seeing nothing new in your video, but it was a glad surprise. The way you presented the places really helped me to decided if I will visit or not, specially the House of Terror, that was in the end of my list and now I moved it to places I must not miss a visit. Thank you very much!
You, lady. are. AWESOME! Your video is having me already travelling (with my heart) althrough Magyarorszag-Hungary, which btw, is really MAGICAL! lots of sisterly love 4 its people, may God always bless and protect them- but I m proudly originated Greek, and it's said, "there's no place like home", you know that, no? if you don't, please try to visit my country, home of lots of myths, literature, music and, what's more, the Olympic Games)
Definitely agree with you! I visited during summer though. I think it looks different depending on the season. Howevet, I don't agree with it being walkable though. I love walking every where I travel but Budapest kinda killed my feet. But still, I love it!
Beautiful video! It's a great reminder for us Hungarians as well that sometimes we need to stop and look around us to see the beautiful city we live in! Thank you for making this
I wish I could write about my observations and reflections when traveling as well as you do! Terrific video. I also found the energy of Budapest noteworthy - it felt uplifting, welcoming, and positively contagious. 🙂
Went to Budapest last week with my girlfriend .. oh my god .. i cant just put into words how beautiful it was .. Buda castle , Fisherman's Bastion , Mathias Church , The Parliament and for conclusion Budapest by the river Danube ..i loved this city !!!!!
Really professional video and it's quite flattering and nice to see it as a hungarian, it's always interesting how others see the place where we live. :) this video deserves a lot more views :)
Out of all the videos I have seen of my country this is by far one of the best! Filled my heart with pride to be from here. Thank you for a beautiful portrayal! Now I will subscribe and watch all your vids! Boiler for sale!anyone? Lol
Well Eileen you've done many fabulous vlogs with Marc but I think this may be your best yet. It is simply fabulous. I'm only watching the terror museum and chamber and feel sickened. Yet you handled the history and horror with your trademark grace and grit. Thank you. And thank you for bringing to light the fairy tale qualities of a great world city.
Nancy Johnson I agree with you. This video is excellent -- definitely one of Eileen and Marc's best. This whole series has been interesting and informative, and has put a trip to Budapest high on my list of places to visit. Angie
Yea...I feel you man... A lot of people in my family died in those times and I can only be glad that I wasn't born yet... The Terror house sums up what happened pretty well and that is even too much for some people but when you hear a survivor talk about it...now that's a bit too much for me too... But anyway...the vid was unarguably great
I think this was by far the best tourist guide for Budapest i've ever seen. Thank you for that. I'm planning on taking my British friends to Budapest very soon so i might come in handy :)
What's a place you've been that has a fairytale quality? 🏰

Very nice quality of showing Budapest and the magic of being here (there). Hi,can I have your mobile number
The best video I have seen about Budapest - you captured the history, tragedies and united efforts alike so well. If ever you come this way again, venture outside Budapest into the little gem towns and countryside, too. You will always be welcome here!
Смотрю и плачу, как же я люблю этот город!!! Спасибо.
Thank you for making this video of Budapest! I was born and rased there... - the warmth you talk about it, really melted my heart...
This is amazing video about Budapest i have ever seen.
Feladták a leckét nekünk. Igen is így kell bemutatni a mi gyönyörű városunkat :)
Thank you, Rita! That's so awesome to hear :)
Love this city so much
I wanna go there someday
Make sure you have lots of cash for taxi, they use to rip you off !
Aw, I love the poetic way you talk about my home. Thank you, you warmed my heart. :)
That makes MY heart happy - thank you! :)
Ági! Here is an other to show: ruclips.net/video/dZYpHr1wDmY/видео.html

Budapest is one of my favorite now, I went there last month.
This very beautiful shot above by drone.
I love seeing the city from above with the drone too :) That's awesome you just visited! What were your favourite parts?

I love this video of Budapest! I live in Budapest and it's beautiful in every season! I am glad you liked our capital city this much! Xoxo
This means a lot, Natalia! Thank you! xo
Hi Natalie. Does middle of December the best chance to see snow?
Awesome video!!! Thanks a lot for sharing!!! One can feel the Canadian spirit in it and what a better way to experience a city than through the open-minded perspective of Canadian eyes.
Eileen you do such a fantastic job showing off my favorite city. Thanks for the Wanderlust.
Hi Christopher! Thanks! So glad you liked the video :)
I'm hungarian and I love this video so much I'm glad you enjoyed staying here xx
Being a Hungarian i still found your video absolutely fascinating! And your commentaries are so sweet and thoughtful. Thank you for preparing such a nice little video
Hi Daniel! Thank you - I appreciate that :)
What an effective and informative video! Beautifully summarizes the key highlights of Budapest, and very accurately depicts the energy of the city! I loved It!
Fairytale is right!!! Wow, beautiful place!!! Great video; you show just enough to make me want to hit every place you've been to!!!
In love with this incredibly beautiful city
It’s amazing! ❤️
Such an awesome video guys, also love how much effort you put into telling about the history and background of the city. Very well done! (A Hungarian)
Really impressive video-editing which displays your passion!! Wish you many more adventures. :) You kept me on the edge throughout the video!!
Én magyar vagyok. Örülök hogy tetszett az országunk. Itt élni nem mindig mesés de mikor egy ilyen videót látok újra örülök hogy itt élek. Thank you!!!
angol vagyok, és örülök, hogy ezt értem! magyarul tanulok! köszi!
Going to Budapest next week. So excited
Awesome! Have a wonderful trip :)
You, lady. are.
Haha sorry to hear it made your feet hurt! I’d love to return in summer and experience the city then too.
Beautiful video! It's a great reminder for us Hungarians as well that sometimes we need to stop and look around us to see the beautiful city we live in! Thank you for making this
Hi Fatima! That's true - thank you :)
I wish I could write about my observations and reflections when traveling as well as you do! Terrific video. I also found the energy of Budapest noteworthy - it felt uplifting, welcoming, and positively contagious. 🙂
Hi Ashley! Thank you so much! 💕I'm glad you agree about the energy in Budapest - such a cool city.
Such a great video, and Budapest looks awesome!
Out of all the videos I have seen of my country this is by far one of the best! Filled my heart with pride to be from here. Thank you for a beautiful portrayal! Now I will subscribe and watch all your vids!
Boiler for sale!anyone? Lol
Very nice video, Budapest is beautiful
I had such an amazing time while in Budapest and would love to go again one day!
I’m glad to hear that!
Gothic and Romanesque architecture is simply the most beautiful.
Well Eileen you've done many fabulous vlogs with Marc but I think this may be your best yet. It is simply fabulous. I'm only
watching the terror museum and chamber and feel sickened.
Angie
Wow, thank you so much (from both of us!). That means a lot :)
Thank you, Angie, for all of your support!! It makes us so happy to know you've been watching and enjoying this Budapest series!
Thank you! Hope you and your friends have a great time in Budapest :)
I'm from Budapest but still learnt new things. Very well informed, well done! :D
It’s lovely to watch this video about the city. Wished I’d seen it before I went to Budapest two weeks ago. 👍👍😊
Thanks! Hope you had a great time visiting :)
Now this made me homesick... ❤❤❤
