I AM SO STOKED to share the latest BM3 guide I just produced. I think it's going to blow the app wide open for those who still struggle with the app. Those who come from traditional DAW style work flow. The genre of choice Shoegazer/Space Rock/Post Rock whatever you want to call it was a LOT of fun writing and producing for you in this video. I completed a video I've had in my mind for about seven days. The goal is to continue with keeping things simple and down to earth so that I could help those who struggle with Beatmaker 3. I want to help you see it as a traditional DAW with bonus other features such as a wicked sampler, clip launching, and automation versus the other way around.

One of the best tutorials on here for someone just starting and trying to get a feel for the workflow of this app.

You are so good at taking full advantage of the strengths of an app. I see so many tutorials that totally miss the point because the person can not see beyond their limits. They have no imaginations. You , on the other hand, see deeply into the power of apps like beatmaker 3 and Beathawk. One thing in Beathawk tbat no one digs into is the bloody amazingly powerful piano roll that goes way way beyond the usual piano roll features. And the piano roll editing features are crazy great, besides the advanced features that no others have. I haven't seen any tutorials for Beathawk that explore all the piano roll capabilities. Maybe it's too much for your average joe. But wait, you are no average joe(not being sarcastic). There aren't many videos using ToneStack compared to it her amp sims. I don't know why because tonestack is spectacular. Yonac is spectacular as a developer. Yonac just released Magellan 2 as an AUV3. WOWWWWWW. You will freak out when you try Magellan 2. It has taken over as my hands down clear choice for best synth app. What does the expression hands down mean? I mean why does it mean what it means? Why not hands up? Is hands up the opposite of hands down? No! Strange. Sorry for digressing so ridiculously much.

Thank you for the kind words and noticing that I do like to look beyond and also I like to discover unconventional uses for apps something that they might not be designed to do specifically. I didn't get Magellan 2 yet so thanks for the tip. I published the news but did not buy.

Thanks Jason. Yes, BM3 seems brilliant but to old school recording types - with old brains - it has seemed intimidating. Now, thanks to you it is usable. Cheers 😎👍🇬🇧

Hi Jason, I JUST discovered your YT channel today and instantly subscribed! I just purchased BM3 after getting real frustrated with Cubasis 3, and have been trying to wrap my head around the BM3 workflow. This video explains a lot! Thank you for doing these tutorials my man! I recognize you from reddit and the respective r/iPadmusic and r/iosmusicproduction subs. (I’m the guy that made the iOS rig diagram with the guitar and the DeepMind12. btw, thanks for cross posting that for me:))
Anyway, I’m super happy to have found your channel here, and again, thank you for doing these tutorials and videos. Keep up the great work!

Great tutorial 👍🏻. I’ve been a Garageband (iOS) user for a few years but want to move up to a better recording app. How does this compare to other programs (such as Cubasis)? Is this your go-to app for traditional DAW-like recording on iPad? It certainly sounds good in your video.

Thanks! I like BM3 because it also has very extensive sampling capabilities. It's a great app and one of my go to DAWs the other being Cubasis 2. Cubasis 2 doesn't offer as much in the sampling department in regards to multi layered samples. I don't have Cubasis 3 yet.

Thank you for that helpful Video 🙏 I am thinking about some portable setup for creating music on my upcoming long distance bike travel trip. The Ipad looks amazing for that purpose. I'm thinking about using an Zoom H6 as an Audio Interface/Mic...
Can I ask you which Ipad Model you use?

Does bm3 have bus control. The website says it does, but wanted to see a vid to show it being done. I want to be able to route 8 drums to 1 bus, multiple guitar channels to 1 bus etc. Thanks :)

BM3 is super rad. Beathawk is a total disappointment. Super basic but the interface even makes it look like it does so much more. BM3 has an amazing sampler. Just import great drums into that Beatawk was so hyped ...So many in app when you could get way better drums from Lumbeat apps the most realistic drums on iOS.
