Absolutely have struggled with this issue & enjoyed the discussion of having to “keep a copy of everything“! I swear, I thought I was the only one, lol! Cutting up books has taken a minute to get used to also. Striving to use everything up & then go get more! And not feeling guilty for taking time out to craft…it was so great to hear all of this! Will probably go back & listen to it all again! ❤
I used to struggle too! Especially upcycling books because I am a reader from a family of readers and my mom taught me to respect books highly because they are precious. It’s easier now because I’ve seen so many discarded or abused books that I feel so much better knowing I can repurpose into a loved journal and save it from the trash. On using up supplies or bits that run out, I’ve learned to be excited when I use something up and remind myself that I’m not burning it; I’m using it in a project or journal that I will want to look back on and seeing one of kind or the last of a particular supply makes them even more special!
Guildford was my local shopping place. I use to live in Surrey. So I loved shopping in Guildford. I use to work i n the Army and Navy store. I still have friends down south . I miss the place a lot. But I’m now In Wales. Love watching you. X🌸X
This is so pretty, it brings joy to me, too. :) love the looking glass idea, very fun! I hate the new SELPHY app with the burning passion of a thousand suns. But I have figured out to click on each individual photo in the grid to edit, adjust position, crop etc. but it takes so much longer now and seems so tedious. It takes the fun out of using it for quick projects. If there’s an easier way I’m not realizing, someone please share. I’m so irritated with it!
Thanks to your recommendation on a previous vlog on Sostrene Green, I was in London last week & called in (twice) it's now my new favourite shop, so many lovely things at reasonable price, so thank you.
Loved your style. Loved collecting stuffs from my travel but I always start journaling but never finishes, too much thinking on how the pages gonna looks … not sure when those things will be finish….waiting for the right time….???
I did that for years. Jump in and just start cutting and pasting papers, like in kindergarten art class. 🙂 then the page isn’t blank anymore. Makes it a bit easier for me. 🙂
This is so pretty Lisa! I love how the colors all flow together... makes me think of walking through a flower garden in spring 🌹🌸🌺🌻🌼
