Our version has the five point harness instead of the vest. Why no instruction? The teacher doesn’t reach my dodge caravan’s mount (a very common vehicle) now what?

It is ridiculous that this foam and Velcro sweat box is priced over $1,000 for all of the options shown here when many, if not most, families with special needs children need two of these and even if insurance pays for one, that price is robbery. But I guess the insurance companies can/will pay it so screw the private consumer.

This is specialized equipment. Not mass produced like regular car seats. Some hospitals will provide a loaner with deposit. But hey, if you think it’s so easy to make this with foam & Velcro, then try making this yourself & see how much work it is to make it durable enough for someone over 170 lbs.

@@SamWesting Please don't lecture me about "specialized" equipment. I am speaking ONLY with regards to children too large for toddler seats and too small for adult seats. If this specific iteration is in the back seat of a vehicle, then who in the hell is lifting a 107lb person out of their chair, over the positioning block in the middle of the seat, and into position?
      Not you and not I?
So my comment was not about someone over 170 lbs. And over $1000 is still, in my opinion, out of the budget for much of the population.
I just love it when people say "go make it yourself" when they show some frustration with the cost of just trying to give their child as good a life as they can.
For all I care, they can charge $10,000! It's their shit. I don't have to buy it, but I will damn sure voice my opinion on it if given the opportunity.
...and that is whether you like or agree with it or not.

@@TroyShields And what did all that keyboard drivel accomplish for you & your family? Not a damn thing.
