That Kyndall is a hell of a dancer! So sharp and fiery! She’s feeling that song just like I did when that album came out 😂 It’s awesome to see young people appreciating the expressiveness and power of her music
YES!!! I felt like I’m seeing a young Janet! When she danced she was FUNKYYYY and I was like wait, that’s JANET she needs to be in the front. And then when we she spoke With that soft sweet voice, it solidified it even more! So soft and sweet but a BEAST at performing!
I love Tina! Her work with Janet is legendary. They brought the lyrics to life thru dance that combined power, strength and feminine beauty. Tina knows how a woman's body moves, and they brought fire moves to J's music. 🔥🔥🔥 I foreva stan. 💜💙❤️🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
"If" made me wanna dance, the first time i seen the video when i was a little girl in the 90s I immediately started mimicking the moves lol i got a video of it too. ive been wishing for years i had a choreographer to learn the dance moves with. The music with the guitar and dance moves was straight fire 🔥 i love the tribal aspect to it, legendary moves on this one.
I am not only impressed by the amazing choreography and the talented dancers but also by the way the dancing is filmed. OMG, it is such good directing! Whoever did that, respect!
@@mannydem1I totally agree with you. I said the same thing. Those were her best choreographers. Paula is the one who opened doors for other choreographers. People just have to learn to give credit when it's due
@@mannydem1 If you look at Paula's video Knocked Out. You will see lots of familiar faces who went on to be choreographers or background dancers for Janet and other artists
This video, these related videos, Tina Landon, Gil Duldulao, AnthonyThomas, Paula Abdul - the choreography of Janet videos feels so incredibly nostalgic to me that it almost moves me to tears remembering how in love and overwhelmed I was (and still am) with Janet's music and dance when I was 16 years old. These feelings always wash over me when I watch this kind of video. So thanks for posting!!
I wish Ms Tina would go into detail, break it down how hard it was and is for her and ms Janet and the dancers, because they made it look so easy that's why the fans love them so much and have mad respect. #diehardFanSince93.
I've have been following Janet ever since she became part of her brother the sister group The Jackson 5 and a star on Good Times. I am a dance lover I professionally dance myself and I always always wanted to dance like Janet Jackson. Now that I am 54 years old it is still my dream to dance like Janet so today to get a shapes and do a Janet Jackson number in fact this dance number on this video right here
Love all the dancers Love even the new little ones Taylor,Kyndall,Reece. I agree with Taylor. I watch Kyndall ,Taylor, Reece everyday many times on youtube .I watch alot of dancers/ choreographers at MDC. Janet and her dancers along MJ and his dancers were my 1st dance teachers. TAYLOR,KYNDALL,REECE moves are always so freaking perfect everytime. I hit repeat over n over like I do Janet and MJ 's dancers.
the thing I remember with this song and choreographer is it was so simple, yet so intricate and was one of those one of those dances that EVERYONE had to hit their marks at the same time to give it its full impact. I'm not sure dancers after the velvet rope era really understood that with this particular dance because at the end of the day it is a group dance and it really does make a difference when someone misses even one step or is a fraction of a second off from the others it kind of messes up the whole flow.
@Faeryn Winters I'm aware, although by a certain age they should already know the difference, but the person to critique the most is the choreographer for that particular class more than anyone. Nowadays, dance is more taught than felt unfortunately... I've been performing since age 3 so I'm not naive
it's the same for britney dancers (which janet inspired). even brintey today does her old early 00s choreography better. its smoother. dancers today try way too hard and look robotic
But Rythm Nation is not Tina’s choreography it’s Anthony Thomas so why are they asking Tina about another person’s work. Tina has her own work with Janet.
i wonder why they just focused on that one girl around 1:12 when everyone was slaying it. the girl they focused on was even late on some movements, but the others were not.
@@ScratchArkkitehti True, but she has a point. There's a very unique precision that a dancer must have to perform Janet's choreography. This is why Janet auditions thousands of people for each tour.
I love how she's acting like she alone choreographed that dance, do some research folks looking into it she wasn't even close to the only one on it, in fact it probably would have been better with out her. Plus if she so much of a life time dancer why she so over weight? Stop buying bs folks.
mhm. they f-ed up. the arms of them flying around like wet french fries. its not sharp. its lesser. some of them giving us weird movments with the upper body. or the arms. looks like some cheap a...s street dancing.
Tina is brilliant!!! The song IF and the choreography will be always be iconic!!!
I Love Tina London!!!!!! She's Truly 1 Of The BEST Choreographers Ever.
COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!

I saw this before that part came on, and it took two seconds to figure out which one was Kyndall, lol.
3 years later she’s danced for Beyoncé in the Renaissance Tour lol

Yo me too but I was WAY too uncoordinated.
You’d have loved the dance school I went to in the 80’s and 90’s, we did this and it was amazing to do.

The Best Choreographers Janet Jackson has ever had! Paula Abdul,Anthony Thomas and Tina Landon. All former's Paula Abdul Dancers. You go Paula!
And they all dance better than her

Tina is a legend. You can see how dedicated these dancers are to their craft. The first young woman really killed it for me. Good job!

Kyndall killed it. Most of them were too stiff. Janet was so cool and made everything look easy.
I always performed that dance break perfectly in my head.
Praise to the queen Janet!#legend
I wish I was at that dance school I would’ve killed it Because I love Janet ❤️
Such talent! The blonde young girl in the the beginning had the best choice of words!

So is there actually a full video of them dancing or is this it?

They can dance but on here they didn't make the movement transition look smooth. Looked robotic
I agree

Yea....their pretty good, but they need more maturity, and a lot more practice for the "If" dance!!!
Nothing smooth like the video clip. Yes they can dance but nothing like the OG’s. Needs to be more fluid.
