- We spent a week riding the Ninja H2 SX SE recently and came away impressed. Comfort is up there with the best sports-tourers, close to the Kawasaki 1400 GTR and Yamaha XJR1300, while acceleration is top of category, along with handling and stopping.
Check out BikeReview.com.au for the full test, both the World Launch Report and this road test.

Hands down, this is the most objective and to the point review I've seen on the Kaw H2 SX SE. Thank you very much my Aussie Bros' I've worked with you good fellows in some still classified sites around the World.
I took one of these out for a 2hr test ride from Phillip McCallen dealership in Ireland. My face was hurting sooo much (from constant smiling) that I bought it on the spot.🤣🤣🤣
@Belfast Blue Indeed I do!
Haven't looked back. Ready for its second service ... 6,000 miles.
@Belfast Blue I reckon you certainly will.🤣 I'm selling mine in May if you are interested. Currently my bike is securely garaged in Spain during the winter.
Brilliant review… I bought one in 2019, been all over Europe two up, this thing is superb, can’t fault this bit of Kawasaki wizardry👌🏽
Fantastic!
Great down to earth review with typical Australian upfront video commentary - I'm currently riding a ZX14r and seriously considering one of these.
Thanks!
Same. But they are $32k . Just wondering if s new zzr14 will be out with electronic suspension soon. I'll wait but its unlikely
Best review of the SE so far, well done.
Thanks - really appreciate it.
I have only been riding for 3 weeks. I got my first bike 2003 Z1000, it was cool but not what I was really wanting. 3 weeks later I went out and got the H2 SXSE. I love it. I'll never get rid of it. It is a little heavy but, in the video the guy said this bike is only for experienced riders. I don't think so. Anyone that can get both their feet on the ground standing up can handle this bike. Just start off in low power mode and work your way up. Ride safely everyone.
now that was a genuine review. You rode her very nicely and tested her.Great review...honest.Prolly the best review I've seen yet.Thank you.I have a 2015 H2.Sweet machine.I also softened her up some...can ride her all day(and do).Great bikes. Thanks again.
Well done guys. loved the review
Great, real world review Jeff. Will be looking at one of these in the not too distant future.
Thanks!
I was testing this a couple of days ago. It's really an impressive piece of equipment. Incredible fast but still easy to ride. BUT, it is more sport than touring, not a scrotch rocket though, but if you are a tall rider like me, there will be a lot of weight on the handles.
But did you tested it with panniers or without one??
I have the ZZR 1400 and would say the H2 is a very good bike but will stick to mine when it comes to touring .
I have a 2016 Concours 14 and this bike is lighter than my bike and I love my bike. I haven’t test rode any bike other than mine. It was my first bike and I just learned how to handle it and manage throttle control. This bike would be a breeze I’m sure compared to mine. My bike has 124 torque and 155hp. The advantage of this H2 bike is the power-shifters and cruise. As far as weight I don’t care. I mean again I’m used to mine Concours 14. I wish my bike had cruise and power-shifters.
Had an Onni Throttle Lock on the Connie (2013) I had. Worked great for the long straights.
How many miles did you get from the tank? Average?
It's majestic, just looking at it.
ps: Is this guy related to Kurt Russell?
Cool motorcycle
Nice review
Hey thanks - really appreciate the comment. Jeff.
Pennant Hills road sucks!! Awesome looking machine. Would be magic on the Phillip Island run! ;)
Sure would and yep Penno Rd does suck.
SUCKS ? WHAT A PRATT OF A WORD TO USE.
Hi bud
Thanks for the great review. I bought one (Johannesburg) and I am so dissaponted that we don't get the panniers standard. I had to order that separate which is not cheap. And I did buy the SX SE model. Not fair Kawasaki
That does suck!
Howzit bud. Also looking for one around JHB. Can I ask what you paid for the panniers? Any other upgrades or mods you have done? Currently ride the 1299S but wife wants to ride with so considering this...
@@shalengajadhar5653 hi Shalen, I have since bought and sold the H2. I received the panniers and akro pipe, as part of the deal from fire it up. At the time they were Kawasaki agents, and were sitting with a few H2"s which were not flying out the shop, so they sweetened the deal by throwing the panniers and akro pipe in. BTW I also sold the bike, cause I ride with my wife occasionally, and it's not a 2 up bike for longer distances. It is very uncomfortable for a pillion...
I just bought the new R1250rt a week ago, and for tours, etc, 2up, I feel cannot be beaten. just my opinion....
take care bud
Great and very informative review. I was trying to make a choice between the zx 10 r and the bmw s 1000 rr. While at the dealership today the sx caught my eye . I sat on it and its a pretty heavy bike. Is the bike nimble? How is it while cornering from side to side?
Not even close to the zx10r. Those bikes feel like 600s this feels like and older 90s 1000 that's much taller. Very capable but as fortnine said it's a drag tourer.
Right around 0:59 was it the foot peg scraping or the bulky exhaust can ?
Footpeg. The exhaust was close but never touched. Only the footpegs. Cheers, Jeff.
Is this the only h2 u can get in australia? Can u get the carbon model?
lol...
I like the bike, but that whine, would annoy me.
Hey Jeff I was just wondering do I have an open licence to ride the H2 or any 1000cc bikes?
I'll wait a few years and get it for 6 grand Can.
Considering how expensive motorcycles are getting, I think you will be waiting a long, long, long time to get this for 6k.
Here in south africa they are bringing them in very limited numbers anyway, so even used ones are difficult to find.
@@zunaidkajee4540 I just bought one for $6,000 USD under msrp brand new. At least in the us. Motorcycle sales are very low. AMD the fact you can buy a zx14 or zx10 for about 7000 cheaper. And honestly unless you want or need a supercharger AND a 'touring' riding position theirs no need to buy one.
First super charged production bike in the world? Really?
The H2 and H2R were, not counting turbochargers (which are "technically" a type of supercharger) obviously and not counting scooters.
Did I hear some scraping¿
I think that noise is the super charger making mini sonic booms
Just footpegs touching down.
I'd take the Z1000SX over this every day. Looks (to me) a lot more aesthetically pleasing
Don't think it's worth $35k though.
That's AUS.It's 22K in the US.
@@14icbm Thats 30k AUD. Also it's a lot cheaper than the regular h2, I think it's worth it when it's such a hyper bike.
At the end of the day, worth is relative with regards to anything. It's a beautiful bike to look at and ride and for my old self it does the trick without having to be too leaned over. The cruise control and heated handle bars are a GOD send for long distances or if its a little cold outside.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm
