This lifestyle has turned these men into monsters or animals its kinda fitting yet we see the human sides of them the most because we are in their shoes. We aren't in the shoes of those who's lives they've ruined.... please RGG let daigo help run that orphanage imma need this have daigo and haruka ever been on screen together?
Hard to believe that Kiryu and Majima haven't had a fight since Yakuza 3 back in 2009 until now. And the sense of finality here after the fight is genuinely heartbreaking.
I think that little scene where Daigo follows Kiryu outside has so much weight. "What do you know?" Is pretty apt. Daigo ended up with the position that Kiryu should have been in since Yakuza 1. And Kiryu knows it. On the other hand, as the actual last chairman of the Tojo, Daigo does have a responsibility to see it through, whether if it's fair or not. But I can definitely understand his anger. Also, Kiryu being on death's door obviously messed with Daigo, that's clear. Poor dude. He's had it rough too.
I love to think that Saejima was going to wait inside and keep drinking but the second he saw his boys about to be 5v2'd he stepped in since he's just that strong.
devilleon7 actually made a really good video describing the hypocrisy of kiryu in the 3 jima scene. Without going too deep in spoiler territory, the fact of what Kiryu says that the Yakuza is their responsibility despite them already wiping their hand's clean of it with the dissaloution of Tojo and Omi and that they can't run away from this goes against what he does in almost every single game. Even if it's for an honest good reason, he is the LAST person to be speaking of responsibility and running away considering he has done both. And the sad part about this is. THEY LET HIM. They never chose to place that back on him and actively tried to help him but not involving them in this when they could. They very much are rightfully pissed by what he said during the scene since they never gave him this talk when they could've. Majima and Daigo have sacrificed so much of their lives for Kiryu's sake and it really feels like he never does right by them on his side. Yes, they respect him and his strength but that doesn't excuse that what is happening now is not their problem. I love Kiryu but them being pissed was very much justified.
Straight facts. Daigo and Majima are also literally only here because Kiryu fully dumped the responsibility of running the entire Tojo clan onto them when it was already in the early stages of falling apart. And then he proceeds to only come back to punch Daigo around, be the hero, then leave. The ONE time Daigo actively went to Kiryu for help, it was basically just him asking for advice and Kiryu wouldn’t give him even that. But he has the nerve to roll up on them now and basically tell them they still haven’t done enough. And they still let him get away with it. LET DAIGO TALK SHIT AND GET MAD, PLEASE
@@cinnabonbons I honestly think Kiryu just came over to see what they were doing and to be able to see them and fight them one last time before leaving, and even though it sounds hypocritical, try to get them out of the hole they are in I mean, it was wrong that he wanted to pass all the responsibility to them, but even so, the clan as a whole did not let Kiryu rest at any time, it is strange, but I am still glad that They had their farewell fight

I really loved how the main boss theme against Majima, Saejima, and Daigo, Impregnable Triangle, didn’t sound reminiscent of old battle themes, it had a new feeling… A feeling that this could very well be the last time we ever fight these 3.
About the music - this boss fight theme's called "Impregnable Triangle", so the name fits too well. Also, during the "final segment" of each of that trio's member, their fight music from Yakuza 4 plays Daigo - For Faith Majima - Receive and Bite You Saejima - Massive Fire (his street battle theme)
The music during the 3 "Jima" fight is awesome ✨ Also, Daigo still is a sweetheart. Poor guy's always trying to do things only for people to trap or backstab him 😔 And the way he cares about Kiryu.. 😢
This scene hits SO much harder if you have played from 0 onward. You know the full relationship between Daigo and Kiryu, how much Kiryu had an influence on him...and here you can see Daigo finally stand up and tell Kiryu off. Saejima you can tell is the most conflicted, he's faught alongside Kiryu before and here Kiryu is, actually asking for help just as Saejima encouraged him to do so in 5, I think he was secretly feeling shame for not being able to stand up and join him, only for them to finally go back to what they know best, their fists. Majima just lost all of his luster for life, but at least he has the people he called his closest friends. Also, you should check out other videos of people in this fight and examine the memories of the arena walls during the resurgence sections (One Saejima one makes people go "What"), also their themes play.

I'm honestly so glad daigo finally stood up for himself with kiryu, and I'm sure living in a tiny little hut with majima and saejima for three years probably stretched his patience a little thin. it hasn't just been the last few years that made daigo upset, it's his entire life. from the day he was born he was always cursed to be this person, always be part of this yakuza life whether he wanted it or not because of who his parents are. we see in y0 how bad he struggles with making friends, and he's too aware of it. he doesn't make an actual friend until he's 32 years old, and even then he has to watch that friend die (after being shot! after being in a coma! that's what he wakes up to!). he easily throws his future away in high school by being sent to juvie because he knows that's the only thing he'll ever be, he wants to drink himself to death in y2 before being pushed into being chairman, a job he's terrible at and he knows it. he's never able to be alone, he's constantly swarmed by subordinates and guards and people who just want things from him. and we never actually know who daigo is, we don't know who he is as a person outside of any of this because that's just all he is. he's barely a person and it's just so incredibly depressing, and rgg is able to convey that so well when you just look at him, you can see it in his eyes how exhausted and sad this man is. and it's why daigo is my favorite character, he's so fascinating.
